Mexican craft beer from the North American advent calendar. Color is reddish brown and clear. Small head absent lacing. Smells of chocolate, malt ball candies and biscuit. Taste is a little watery, chocolates and malt. Low carbonation. Easy drinking, if not unremarkable, malt forward beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle, 355ml. A mahogany beer with a foamy head that fades away quickly. It has a medium to faint aroma of dry fruits and alcohol. Taste is bitter, slightly dense (although it later washed away) and with hints of spices and maybe chocolate. Carbonation is low and it has medium astringency.

Not a bad brown ale. A touch on bittering hops round out the brown sugar and caramel body. Overall, mild.

Deep brown color with a nice head. You can smell a little bit of chocolate. Taste is malty and somewhat chocolaty, and refreshing. A favorite one. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A dark brown ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, grassy nutty malt with light grassy hops, OK. In mouth, a nice roasted caramel malt with light grassy hops, faint peatyness, nice.

Pour is ruby brown with a moderately sized tan head. Aroma and flavor are both of caramel malts, chocolate, toffee, and spice. There is a weird, sort of vegetable/spice note in the finish, but it doesn’t take away from the beer too much.

3/25/2010. From bottle. Pours deep amber with a white head. Malt and caramel aromas with a bit of hops. Not bad really. Actually one of the better Mexican beers I’ve had.

Brown with reddish glow, seemingly clear. Milk Chocolate, biscuit, breakfast cereal, nice smooth hop backup. Light body, starting watery but quickly revealing more power, and an interesting roasted and pie like malt. (Bottle from The Beer Box Cancun)

Rating #804 - December 3, 2013 - Beer 3 in the Craft BeerAdvent Calendar. Dark brown pour with a weak bubbly tan foam that disappears quickly. Aroma is strong roast malts, hint of nutty sweetness. Taste is hint of nutty sweetness, dominant roast malt, slight hop character with a slightly bitter finish that is quite pleasant. Quite good.

355ml brown bottle from Craft Beer Advent Calendar ’13. Medium brown colour, clear. Small beige cap. Nose has fruit and raisin, bit of roast and milk chocolate. Taste has raisin, caramel, chocolate malt. Bit of roast and dark chocolate at the end, some okay bitterness lingering with some dark malts. Light bodied, lots of carbonation, drinks easy. Not a bad one from these guys.
