12 oz bottle from Secret Santa ’09. Pours a clear cola like brown with a very minimal off white head. Aroma was sweet, like caramel. Moderate palate, average carbonation. Flavor is a bit on the sweet side. Tastes of chocolate covered cherries, caramel, nuts with a touch of coffee. My first Mexican beer.

Good woody and earthy smelling beer. Midly thick as for body concerns. Decent head. Refreshing, complex taste. Coffee and chocolate notes as usual. Better if served in proper glass, lost of character when in bottle.

Maybe my batch is fresher than the majority of the people here? I don’t know. I quite like it. Appearance: Filtered, ruby black/brown color. Two fingers of a light brown head. Looks pretty nice. Smell: Dirty caramel malts, with some spicy, chocolate notes. Smells pretty nice. Taste/feel: It’s the smell in taste-form. Really smooth drinking at a pretty measly 4.8%, and I’m actually quite pleased with this beer. Drinkable, and a very respectable brown ale.

Can @ Chad’s house via trade with drsilverworm. Thanks! Pours a orangish brown appearance with a foamy, light brown head. Weird fruity, caramel, light toffee, tabasco aroma. Veggie, chocolate, caramel, tomato, light sweet flavor. Yuck.

Clear deep amber out of the bottle with very little in the way of carbonations. Nose of soured grains. Malty sweetness in the flavor with some smoke and burnt toast and tea. There is a little sour something in in here that seems too prominent. Not really that good...

Silver can. Smells and tastes of ash, DME, and maybe some tin and gristle. Can I say "meh" again without it being overused?

12oz bottle - pours dark amber with beige head. Nose is toasted caramel. Flavor adds spiciness and nuttiness. Taste is sweet with a little bitterness. That first sip was scary (as though the yeast ruined the beer), but now it tastes like a standard brown ale. By far my favorite beer from Mexico, so far.
