Bottle, 355ml. Pours a clear golden colour with extreme carbonation, and I really mean a lot of it. Aroma is pretty weak, can’t really make anything out. Taste is better than expected, considering the aroma, although is still pretty poor. A little malty sweetness, almost no bitterness, some spices. Easily Cucapá’s worst.

Veyr well accepted among not conosseurs. IT is dirnkable and nice to have from time to time.

04-Feb-08 (12-oz bottle: Purchased 23-Dec-07 for $1.59 at the Pizza Port Bottle Shop in Carlsbad, CA) For a wheat ale, this tastes and smells like a bad "light" beer, maybe worse. It smells like something that might appear on a cheese plate, or maybe in a fondue pot. Taking a mouthful, I don’t taste any wheat, but I do taste a lot of soggy cardboard. Minimally sweet, very bready, lots of paper and wood, but not hoppy in any way. Thin and watery on the palate with medium carbonation. The hazy, golden body is capped by a pretty, off-white head that settles to a thin layer and leaves some spots on the glass. But overall, there’s no point in sugar coating things, this is a drain pour. When served cold, this beer is pretty awful, I can’t imagine what it tastes like when it warms up. And I don’t intend to find out.

Poor aroma, I expected more from a Cucapa wheat beer, but it didn’t give me. Taste is good, average, Flavor looks to me more like a pale beer.

UPDATED: JUL 9, 2008 Make my day! The aroma is great, better than the taste, i really love the wheat beers but this one just smell like the german wheat, but the taste nope... any way its a good beer from Mexico, Tnx 2 cucapá for make better beers in Mexico!.

not bad expecting some super cheap macro--not much of a wheat bear, though; a bit buttery, lager-like; just a note of caramel that mostly escapes just as you pop the cap off of the bottle... there is no distinctive wheat taste that would make me even want to compare this to any wheat beer.

After sipping three obscuras this one seemed incredibly refreshing, not to much aroma, too much carbonation for being a wheat beer,and the flavor wasnt too much of wheat. anyway its better than average.

Bottle from Keil’s. My bottle is 3.5% abv. Pours a medium golden color. Slightly sweet grainy aroma with a touch of caramel. Tastes like an average lager with only a hint of wheat. Somewhat watery. A little bit of a bitter finish. Drinkable.

12 oz bottle from Keil’s. Bottle says 3.5% and describes this as a wheat ale, but this tastes like a typical (if not light) Mexican lager. Light, pale yellow color. No aroma whatsoever. Easy drinking, thats for sure. This would be a nice summer time beer, and for $5.99 a six pack, I have no major complaints. That said, after having the Cucapa Barleywine (and to a lesser extent, the Obscura), I expect great beers from Cucapa. This is not up to those standards.
