Light head disappears quickly. Light colored light bodied. A sweet and smokey aroma. Clean flavor, no bite. A good lawn mower beer.

12oz bottle(8/02)-Brewed by Two Brothers-A light golden body with a decent head and an aroma of any typical lager. Taste light with a little of a funky taste. Not the worst I’ve had.

Bottle from the sale rack at Foremost, Oak Forest. I suspect I’m sampling from the same batch as the previous raters, cause this bottle may be pretty aged. It opens with a suprisingly sweet smell, first fruity then a bit winey. Pours way too dark for a light beer. Not quite cloudy, but there are a few floaties visible. Just a light scum of bubbles. Taste is a little less interesting. Just a light, oxidized malt with some corn sweetener. Thin, watery texture. Geez, and I thought when I smelled it they might have added a grape tannin or something to make it really "Italian." But it’s just olf. I will try a fresh one sometimes.
Meantime, I notice our listing for Cugino Brewing’s web site just returns a placeholder search page. If this stuff is still being brewed, it’s not controlled from Batavia, anymore.

I thought this was from Italy but, alas, I’ve now tried yet another beer from Illinois. Golden/amber with a little sediment and a tiny head. Musty aroma with burnt grain, slight caramel, coins and DMS lurking beneath. A "dirty" taste, bittersweet, with slight spiciness and mild sourness at the end.

Dark yellow with a short-lived big-bubbled head and a corny sweet aroma - - - this is what I look for to entice me into drinking a beer. It’s light bodied with a light sweet corn & malt taste with a slightly crisp finish. My first and last.

Big bubbles rise from a surprisingly darker than straw-colored beer with a fat-bubbled, white head. Aroma is lager ferment sulphur and a toasty grain. The beer shows flavor of a nice pale lager for 2 seconds then the CO2 overwhelms the delicate body. Almost ethereal with a damp, musty basement finish.
