1.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20 Reid (1434) - Salem,Oregon, USA - APR 24, 2004
Dang were does my local "Grocery Outlet" find all tese cheapo Guatemalan lagers!!.
The aroma was pretty non-descript only borderline nasty( probably due to this being in a can,..though id does smell faintlly of sweaty socks.
Appearance is a ghastly pale yellowlike canola oil..with a white head.
Flavour..mmlike flat Sprite, a sickenlingly sweet aftertaste..that sticks around way to long.
Horrid on the palate.
Why I but these I do not know..Im a sucker for punishment in the form of cheap Guatamalan lagers!
1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 Padron4KM (521) - Chandler, Arizona, USA - JUN 3, 2006
12 oz red can. $4.99 six pack from Sunflower market in Gilbert, AZ.
Clear pale straw with a soapy head that was as white as new fallen snow .
Decent sticky lace for a chepo lager.
unfortunately that’s where the fun ends, if only it could have tasted half as good as it looked.
aroma was urine soaked grain with a metalic scent, possibly from the can.
Bland, watery, hints of cereal and aluminum.
clean finish.
not recommended.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 ElGaucho (1862) - Minnetonka, Minnesota, USA - JUN 29, 2005
Can. This beer showed up hidden in ice amongst Mexican bottled beer at a Mexican lunch prepared by one of the Lucasfilm chefs. I guess they thought Culebra was Mexican. I ended up having two cans of the stuff and they were different. The first was better and actually had a nice spritzy hopiness to it. The second was more of a standard bland lager. Aroma for both was bland, watery lager. Clear, light gold in color with an average sized white head and nice lace. Some bite and some nice hops. When its on, not totally unlike Grain Belt Premium.

Alot better than alot of south of the border beers, I could choke it down better than alot of the crap from S America! I enjoyed it as much as corona. I’d drink it again if it was cheap or free!

It’s not good, but it’s far from being as bad as many beers. Has a hint of fruit, and typical macro aroma.

flavor is like bud, miller, etc but with just a bit more of a creamy taste.
1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 Shag (2283) - Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA - SEP 21, 2004
Blech what crap. A bland pissy colored lager is about it. Bud is worse, Red Stripe is better if that helps. Uh skip it REALLY!

this here beer spit out swillish aromas and tasted fuelish, sour, but not as adjuncty as it could be. And thats all the comment this beer deserves.

Pours a typical golden yellow color. Has a real sweet corn flavor. This is better than most beers from south of the border. Not bad for $2.99 a sixer at BevMo. It didn’t seem to be selling that well, but’s it’s better than some brews that are more expensive.
