I’ve had two pints of this IPA now, both in Newcastle and Tilley’s and the Town Wall, fairly smooth and inoffensive but with nice malty, caramel tones. Its never going to set the world alight, but I’ve enjoyed both pints. A great session beer.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Cask @ Bramling Arms, Gosforth 080912
Deep amber, clear, thin white head, some lacing
Aroma - golden caramel malts, fruity malts, hint of barley sugar
Taste - fruity rich golden caramel malts, slight herbal note, buttery toffee, too much alcohol noticeable, bit unbalanced
Palate - soft carb, thinnish body. Finish - dry, as main flavour with some alcohol
Overall - It’s too boozy for 5.5%
