Commercial Description:
Brewed with Munich malt and German Pilsner malt. A good addition of German hops balances this malty lager.

On tap at the Cumberland brewpub. Clear mahogany with a thin tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, fruit and caramel. Taste of roasted malt, dark ripe fruit, mild toffee and yeast. Semi oily body with a mild peppery finish

Pours dark amber with a mostly receding white head. Notes of toasted malt, bready, caramelized wort, toffee, plums, spice. Full bodied with moderate carbonation. A tasty bock.

Draft sample at Keg Fest of Ale. Poured clear dark brown color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate toasted nutty malty aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet toasted flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Drinkable brew that met my expectations.

6.8 % abv. nice hazy nutbrown body with a pretty worthless head. Aroma is pretty weak (Cumberland beers seems to be uniformly lacking in pungent aromas) with hints of nut and wood. Simple roasted nut flavor with a rich maltyness balanced by a moderate bitterness. A bit rugged upfront with a nice mellow finish that develops quite a bit.Medium body with medium to high carbonation - just a bit too overcarbonated. Overall: simple and solid.

Draft at the brewpub. Pours a nice golden amber with a thin white head. Aroma is heavy with sweet malts. Notes of hops stand out as well. On the palate this beer is crisp and refreshing with the perfect amount of carbonation. The aroma descibes the flavor of this bock. It finishes crisp and clean, leaving an after taste of sweet malts and a little bit of hops. I found this beer to be very refreshing.
