Draught at the brewpub. Pours cloudy rust brown with thin solide beige head. The weak aroma is slightly nutty and estery with some peach and wood. The flavor is woody noble hops and very toasty malt. Sweet caramel comes out in the middle along with a little bit of tannic bitterness; the finish is quite soft. Not superior, but definitely better than I was expecting.

reddish brown with a white head. malty chocolate aroma. bittersweet chocolate flavor with a light dose of hops. bitter dry chocolate piney hoppy finish. light drinkable...what a mild should be. this beer seems to vary quite a bit batch to batch. i had one that was great about six months ago and the next wasnt very good at all and this was somewhere in between. as far as color is concerned this is the lightest batch i have seen. the last two have been brown...almost black.......but like i said nice beer to start off with. i always order it when it is on the board.

i’ve had better batches, characterisitc of a smooth mild. a good, rich rusted color that is clear. the small, golden cap dissipated quickly.

Pours brown and opaque with a thin mostly receding mocha foamy head. Aroma of toasted malt, dark bread and brown sugar. Tastes of chocolate, brown malt, toasted malt, and brown sugar. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth, lively carbonation. Like a brown ale with less toasties.

Hazy light brown with a small head. Not much of a nose, this could be due to the asshole chain-smoking next to me, would you please go somewhere and hack up a lung and put yourself out of my life? Watered toast flavor and a tongue prickling bitterness that is more from the carbonation than the hops. Slight lingering plum flavor. Bland and easy to suck down. Ap-3 ar-5 pal-2 tas-5 ov-10
