This copper brew is nicely balanced with all Nugget hops. Not quite as hoppy as the German alts but very tasty and complex. The finish is malty with hops at the tail end.

On tap at Cumberland brew pub. Dark red with a thin head. Aroma of sweet and roasted malts, caramel and mild hops. Thick body with a roasted character to it. Taste of caramel that finishes with some nice mild hop bitterness. Smooth and balanced.

Pours reddish amber with a mostly mainted light tan wispy head. Aroma of sweet citrus, toffee, caramel. Taste is biscuity and bready with a restrained spicy hop finish. One of the better Cumberland Brews. If I come to Cumberland and have tried all the beer, I usually go for this or the Nitro Porter.

slightly cloudy dark amber with an off white head that leaves nice lacing. aroma heavy on the orange. very fruity with some caramel malt and a nice dose of hops. bittersweet caramel malt and citrus hops make for a very balanced flavor with a bit of spice. long bitter hoppy finish. medium body. lively carbonation. this was a great very balanced red. very impressed. i have had this beer from time to time in the past year and it just keeps getting better.

Draft sampler at Cumberland. Reddish/amber color with a moderate off-white head that diminished slowly and had good lacing. Medium sweet malt aroma. Moderate sweet malt and spice flavor with a medium finish. Good brew.

Draft at the brewpub. 5.5% AbV. Poured a clear ruby brown color. Smelled of resiny hops and light brown sugar. Flavor was similar with some nice malty caramel and mild to moderate hop bitterness of about 4-5 out of 10.

A nice red hue to the beer with a frothy head. Hoppy aroma for a red and it went along with the taste as well mixing with a yeasty caramel flavor and finish.
