I really liked this one. very light and sweet honey flavor, a touch more alcohol flavor than i’d have liked, but overall a very pleasant refreshing experience.

This was a very cool little treat. Nose was obviously of some light honey and taste was very much of honey and fusel alcohol, though there was also some nice beer-esque taste. The more I drank it, the more it grew on me, as I"m not a huge honey fan. Pale yellow, no head, a bit sparkling. Nice.

On tap at Cumberland brew pub. Yellow with a medium white head. Aroma of honey, taste of honey and mild lemon. Very smooth and easy to drink. A malty consistency that had a semi-puckery finish. This was the first time I’ve ever tried meade so I have no basis for comparison, but I thought this one was pretty solid. I wish the honey beers that hardly taste like honey would taste a bit more like this one.

8 ounce draft at brewpub. Poured light and hazy orange/yellow color and looked more like a nice fruit drink than a beer - no head or lacing. The aroma was sweet, malty, basic, and its most beer-like quality. It was nauseating on my palate because of its excessive sweetness. Light bodied but sweetness created sickening drag on my palate. The flavor was sweet and fruity but had a powerful alcohol aftertaste that really went awful with the sweetness of the fruity flavors. No hops. Overall: If you like meads don’t listen to me. I’m not a mead man. This beer wasn’t for me.

Draft at the brewpub. Poured a slightly hazy golden color. Head was thin, bubbly, and fizzled out almost immediately. Smelled of alcohol, apple cider, and funk. Flavor was similar. It reminded me of a combination of apple cider and sake. Strange and not that enjoyable.

Draught at the brewpub. Pours golden yellow with thin white head. The aroma is lemony and acidic, with a few grassy floral tones and a subdued sweetness. The flavor is grass and lemons. There’s some weird stale malt taste going on there, too, not sure from what (is this a braggot?). The honey tones are pretty weak, and really only come through with any definition when I take a big gulp. Very disappointing.

i hate hatin on the local neighberhood brewpub but man this was bad. i am by no means a mead expert but i and everyone else who tried this thought it was no good. i ordered a pint and the bartender suggested i try it fist because they recently changed the recipe. i agreed and it turned out to be good advice. it looks like lemonade......the kind that comes out of a can....minute made or sumthin. it does have a respectable white head that leaves some nice lacing behind so it scored a point there. hmmmm......kinda smells like lemonade too......yup it tastes like really sweet lemonade with a bit of honey in it. thin fizzy mouthfeel. overall fairly poor. i really hope they fix this. judging from the bartenders reaction when i ordered it the new recipe has not been popular.

Hazed light yellow body. Slightly sweet nose that has some honey and floral notes to it. Taste is surprisingly light and easy to drink. This is not one of the overly thick and overly sweet meads that have driven me away from trying more of the style. Lemon flavors with a nice alcohol note are here. A touch of sticky but not overly so. Definite lemon drop candy flavor here. I like the way this does not overpower with anything and allows the more delicate flavors to be detected.
