3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap and Nitro poured of course: A deep brown hue almost black with a large nitro produced tan head and good lace. The nose detected notes of walnut, chocolate and black malts, and some grassy hops. The taste is a straight forward easy going malt based porter with light acidic and fruit notes. The finish has some minor bitterness and hints of bready yeast. The feel is thin and lively, smooth and easy to drink. A good brew all things said.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sampled at RBSG ’07 and shared by maniac, pours an opaque dark brown brew with a creamy beige head that dissolves slowly to a good lacing. Aroma of smoked, toasted dark malt, with scents of chocolate, coffee and some piney hops. Taste is full bodied, with flavors of caramel, chocolate and some floral hop taste later. Finish is smooth, creamy and then a floral hop aftertaste. Pretty average porter.

A thick, black beer. Aroma has some smoke. Flavor has a touch of smoke, as well as light coffee and chocolate. But overall the flavors and aromas are far too light.
