3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 AndyReynolds (624) - Wilder, Kentucky, USA - MAY 24, 2009
Had on draft at brewpub. Pours a nice amber with a thick white head. Aroma is sweet malts and hops. Weak notes of grass, pine, and citrus stand out as well. On the palate, the feeling is a little dry, but also crisp and refreshing. The flavor really brings out the sweet malts. The finish is a little bitter and brings out a nice hop character. Pretty good beer.
3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Ryan82SM (837) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - JAN 4, 2009
Lightly hoppy aroma, but I am sorta sick. Reddish, nearly rusty in appearance, some head. Good medium bodied hops in the flavor, followed by some citrus undertones. The palate was gradually more lively as time elapsed, different. Pretty good, really, especially considering my dislike of pale ales.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 clong83 (277) - San Diego, California, USA - MAY 28, 2008
Wow. Nose of sweet malts. ALso sweet flavor ad almost fruity. But also lots of good hop flavor. Dry mouthfeel with that good woodish/piney, resiny texture to it. Spicy like an excellent red ale. This surpassed my expectations. Very good.

On tap at Cumberland brew pub. Hazy amber with thin white head. Aroma of pine and citrus hops. Taste is semi-sweet with a grapefruit hop finish. Not too bitter, just the right amount on the finish. Solid effort.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 502F (1001) - ARLINGTON, Virginia, USA - MAR 15, 2008
On tap at the brewpub. It is nice and dark for a pale ale; it appears a non-hazy darker amber/oak color with slight carbonation and a descent off-white head. It smells of pine cones (lots of piney hops) with touches of grapefruit. - I didn’t detect many floral or citrus hop aromas. Medium bodied with a hoppy bite on the pale. The flavor is all hops, not many malts, but still somewhat balanced. It is nice and strong, but pretty basic. Overall: this beer is worth trying if at Cumberland brewpub because it is one of their better beers. It was much better than i remembered it being.
