On tap at the Cumberland Brewpub. Hazed copper with a thin off-white head. Aroma of caramel, sweet malt, not a whole lot else. Taste is pretty much just malt and caramel as well. Unobtrusive and not very interesting – it may be a session ale, but I’m not sure who would actually want to session it.

Not sure if this is a winter release, but think it is so I put that as the release style. I am unsure of the alcohol percentage and slightly unsure of the style, but I think I remember them telling me its a brown ale. ANyways, onto the rating. The appearance is a murky brown like dirt river water or lake water or like poopy toilet bowl water. No head. One of the least attractive beers I have ever seen. Aroma: honestly, just not much to say here. Flavor: weak and watery like a Michelob attempt at a craft. With all that murky sediment, where the fuck is the flavor? Medium body and watery on the palate. Overall: the louisville craft scene has been KILLING me recently. Serriously, a mediocre homebrewer can produce better beers than BBC and cumberland’s most recent releases. I wish these local companies would take their business and craft a bit more seriously. For fucks sake, Cumberland, get a god damn bright tank, or learn how to use yours if you do have one. And BBC, just rethink your passion, because if you keep producing the bullshit that you have, your almost mocking the craft industry. At least New Albanian is keeping it real these days. They will get my money from now on.
