COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An American style wheat ale, made with 50% wheat. A touch of caramel malts is added to give it a nice orange hue.

on tap at brewpub... official name is "Sum’r Not (wheat)." Dark gold pour with no head. Funky wheat and indiscernible fruit notes on the nose. Not much going on in the flavor, or at least nothing I can detect, as there is a strange (somewhat pleasing) tang that overrides all subtleties. Light bodied with active carbonation (a bit too active). Overall: nothing special, plenty of other brews worth getting over this if you find yourself at Cumberland.

hazy orange amber with a nice tight fluffy white head that leaves good lacing. aroma light caramel with some fruity orange and some pine notes....almost pale ale like........but softened by the wheat. flavor almost mirrors the aroma. light to medium body with a nice silky mouth feel. bitter dry piney hop finish. quite a surprise. great wheat beer. ill have another.

The murkiest brew I have seen in a long time, gives live oak a run for its money on that front. I expected grit, I was wrong. This murky monster was like confetti in an orange sea with a large white head. Slight sweetness in the wheaty nose that was inviting. Taste, wow, smooth, clean, light lemon and lime sweetness with just a touch of yeasty goodness. This is great to wash the road dust out with, or to just relax and soak in the greatness of this beer. This is what I’ve been looking for. Summertime calls for this beer. Ap-4 ar-7 tas-9 pal-5 ov-18

Draft sampler at Cumberland Brews. Hazy amber color with moderate white head that diminished quickly. Moderate wheat aroma. Light to medium body. Moderate wheat flavor with medium sweet wheat finish.

UPDATED: SEP 14, 2006 Pours light golden and hazy with poor head retention. Aroma of malted grain, wheat, and lemon. Restrained aroma, very little contributed by yeast. Taste is lightly sweet and yeasty, with grainy wheat, and toasted malt. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with lively carbonation.
