Chelmsford Beer Festival. Gold beer, slightly hazy. Suddy white head. Light dry palate. A whisper of floral things. Mild orange and grapefruit. Finishes semi dry with mild minerals. Okay.

Gravity fed half-pint at the 36th Cotswold Beer Festival 2012. Hazy old gold body, on top a thin head of white wispiness tried to cover the beer. Sweeter citrus notes in the nose (oranges mostly) with hints of yeast in there too. Floral and fruity front with a mild hoppiness coming along to add a dry slightly bitter finish. Mid-range in the body strength stakes and easy to drink.

On cask at the greyhound, Shap. Pours golden, hoppy but slightly astringent. A typical summer cask ale. Not exciting. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cask at the Magpie, orange gold with a lacy white head. Grassy hops and a little citrus on the nose, clean dry palate with juicy malt and a touch of orange coming through. Dry bitter and grassy finish.

Bottled. Golden colour, mediumsized foamy white head. Aroma is fruits, wood, some mild herbs and quite rich on the maltyness as well. Flavour is fruity, zesty, malty with some slight floral notes as well. Bitter finish, but yet a very refreshing brew.

Cask gravity at Kent BF 2011. UK cask beer of the festival. Cracking condition, full of nettley hops. Just a wonderful example of what a UK cask beer can be.
