Brewed in England with precision and passion to create a uniquely satisfying, drier, cleaner, fresher, lager beer. We use East Anglian malt, Saaz and Cascade hops, then re-ferment using Champagne yeast before adding a "dosage" of the rare and fragrant Nelson Sauvin hop, before cold filtering this unpasturised beer into bottle.

Bottle, gold with a thin head, malty eurolager, mild bitterness, decent for the style.

My Bottom Line:
Pineapple and plantain fruitiness rises from this crisp, delicate lager, a compelling profile which begs for closer inspection.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam covers the hazy golden.
-Hop flavors, though very different from what you expect, are nicely extracted for the style here; mostly aroma and flavour, not bitterness.
-Mouthfeel is prickly and lean.
-This is very drinkable and far from boring.
-Most macrobreweries could produce something as good as this if cost cutting wasn’t their priority.

Very decent lager - has some musty Nelson hop in the nose and in the finish. Nice body for a lager, too.

Bottle at the Crown Rivers, Heathrow airport, 20.4.16. Clear gold with a white head. Grass, a little green apple, pomegranate and grapes in the nose, fruity and some grapes in the mouth, followed by mild bitterness and a little bit of biscuit. Medium body, malty bitter finish.

Strange is the only way to explain this the pour shows a bit of the champers in fairness

Bright and hoppy aroma with a mix of light malts and wet sock (in a good way). Mostly dry and sharp. Obvious sour flavor. Nice mix of hop flavor and malt. Very flavorful. Has a slight off flavor. Not too bad.

33cl bottle. Pale yellow colour with a small white head. Aroma is pale malts and light hops, floral. Flavour of pale malts, hops, some sweetness, slightly floral. Really smooth and refreshing lager, one of the best I’ve had.

330ml brown bottle, filtered, from Waitrose. Soft lager with some soft sweet fruit notes. Pleasant aroma. There’s some attractive qualities about this craft lager, but nothing significant enough to make me buy it again.

Small glass at The Open Arms in East Grinstead (their house lager). Aroma sweetish citrus and tropcal fruits. Taste is grapefruity and tropical, some hoppy bitterness. Very clever and sophisticated lager, could be slightly crisper and dryer but the Cascade and NS hops make it very interesting.

Bottle at Artisan Tap, Bedford. Mid-gold with a big white head. Lots of carbonation. Floral and light vinous scent, with grass and candy sugar. Wow, really nice and unexpected. Taste is less impressive, a simple sweetness with only a hint of tempering bitterness. For a lager, this is excellent although it would struggle to hold its own among ’proper’ beer.
