COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Available in 330ml bottles.
This balanced but powerfully hoppy India Pale Ale is brewed using the finest pale ale malt and three complimentary hops. We use Goldings - the traditional, fresh, sweet, delicate king of English hops. Then we add Bramling Cross, a spicy blackcurranty beauty and finish with a touch of extremely clean fresh Citra hop, for quenching zestines. We think that in balancing these 3 exciting hops we have created a beer of great power yet drinkable harmony.

330 ml bottle. Pours a dark golden amber colour with a white small head. Aroma of caramel malts, English hops and some grainy notes. Flavour of caramel malts, some honey, mild citrusy notes, grassy bitterness and gooseberries. Some metallic notes as well. Harsh mouthfeel. A sweet and malty IPA. Very British.

03-JUL-2014, @draft Union Jacks (Jamie Oliver) in Covent Garden. Clear golden with low off-white head. Weak aroma. Taste is malty and hoppy. More malty than hoppy actually. Fruit, spice, citrus. Sweet with a touch of bitterness. Not an IPA.

Really pleasantly surprised to find this slightly malty strongish beer. IPA is the rage but this isn't following a trend. Nice, well balanced and great with a curry.

Bottle at Zeera in South Shields. I ate alone. They put me in the centre of the room like an exhibit. The meal was really delicious. Naga chillies but used correctly so that it had all the flavour without a totally dominant spice. It’s been a while since I had a curry that good. The beer was alright too. Acted as a good foil to the curry.

330 ml bottle. Clear, dark golden body with a light off-white head. Mild but nice aroma of malt and citric fruit. Flavor is mild as well, soft, sweet light malt with a rather discreet fruitiness and low bitterness. Medium body and moderate in aftertaste. I choose to ignore the fact that this is supposed to be an IPA, as otherwise this is actually a quite nice, clean British style session beer. Nothing extraordinary rally, but tasty and balanced in a modest way with no off flavors.

Bottle. A clear, golden beer with a small, dense, off-white head of moderate size. Some lacings. The aroma is weak, with a light fruityness. Not much malts to be detected. The flavor has some bitterness, a faint touch of toffee, and a biscuity maltyness. Medium body, quite dry, with a decent carbonation level. Bitter finish. Pretty boring this one, not much IPA-ish. 140110
