COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Available in 330ml bottles.
This balanced but powerfully hoppy India Pale Ale is brewed using the finest pale ale malt and three complimentary hops. We use Goldings - the traditional, fresh, sweet, delicate king of English hops. Then we add Bramling Cross, a spicy blackcurranty beauty and finish with a touch of extremely clean fresh Citra hop, for quenching zestines. We think that in balancing these 3 exciting hops we have created a beer of great power yet drinkable harmony.

Bottle, pours amber, nose of citrus fruits, orange a hint of grass and floral notes. Malty sweetness with a touch of hoppy bitterness, the smell is better than the taste which is a real pity.

Bright clear amber beer, good pale cream coloured head. Palate is light, airy and a little crisp. Smooth and semi dry malt - sweetish and slightly lagerish. Whispers of spice and lactose. Hops are somewhat in the background but there is a little mellow tropical fruits. Finishes dry with a light spice. Not really an IPA but not a bad beer.

Bottle. Hazy light orange with a brief fizzy head. Aroma is quince and lightly sweet malt. Flavour of fruity caramel, apples and wet straw. Low bitterness. My God, how old is this I wonder?

Cask at the Hare and Billet, Blackheath. Amber pour with a white head. Light malt, vanilla and citrus aroma. Citrus and fresh herb flavour. Sharp bitter tang. Not bad.

Ham-fisted pouring [into a shaker] left a large, frothy white head. Clear, almost copper-gold colour, Massive amount of aroma, both citrusy, but also sweet caramel and grape [not grapefruit]. Nice taste, good sweet/bitter balance. Unfortunately not full bodied or lasting enough. Smooth, oily palate. Overall, nice, but wouldn’t buy it again unless hard up for choice. [rating bumped up by 0.1 upon realising I was being a bit harsh].

Gedronken met dutchdrebus, benzai en joes, bruine kleur, helder, witte schuimkraag, ruikt hoppig en mout, smaakt beetje hoppig, bitter

Bottle shared by Dutchdrebus @ weekly tasting. Clear orange to amber color, small off - white head. Smell and taste lightly malts, hops, decent bitterness. Not bad at all but I feel it could be a bit more outspoken. Medium body and carbonation.
