2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle from Chapel Down vineyard shop. Colour is nice orange, very clear. Nose is touch of citrous and caramel malt. Taste is a bit of a non-event. There’s some bitterness from the hops but nowhere near enough for an IPA. The malt, whilst a little bit of caramel is there, it’s also a bit too grainy and light bodied, like a lager. Finish is crisp like a lager. Where’s the hops man?

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Light brown colour. Smells of tulips. Tastes of tulips. Fizzy but with a soft edge to it. Quite syrupy with hints of fatty roast-potatoes and with an odd almond-like flavour on the finish. Quite nice if a little odd.
