COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Driven by wanderlust and a desire for discovery, the Curious Traveler™ set out to explore the globe. Always fearlessly inquisitive, he relished opportunities to befriend other travelers and to experience cultures he had only previously imagined. He sampled their wares, their foods and most importantly their libations. Some were good. Some not so good. Others were downright dangerous. Many years into his travels, his pace slowed on a particularly sweltering day. He sought refuge in a small pub to escape the oppressive heat. Before he could even finish wiping his brow, the bartender handed him a glistening glass of ale. The Traveler took a liking to the invigorating lemon shandy concoction. “Quite a refresher!” he said gratefully. The Traveler has never stopped exploring – in fact, he’s on the road this very day. Somewhere. Only one thing has changed: he now makes sure he orders a shandy everywhere he goes.

12 oz bottle from Giant Eagle in Sewickley, PA. My wife brought home a six pack and I reluctantly tried one, confirming my suspicions that the shandy is a terrible way to ruin a good ale. I won’t travel this road again.

This poured a cloudy lemon yellow with a white head. Aroma was of light grain and lemon. Flavor was similar. Fairly sweet and unappealing.

Delicious! Curious Traveler Shandy is perfect for summer time. I can see that drink is good for women who don’t like heavy or big fans of beers.

Tangy flavor with a definite citrus shot. Very nice fruity aroma and pretty golden cloudy appearance. A little on the sweet side. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bitter taste that has large notes of orange peel. The beer has a cloudy look with hints of fruit smell

Sample at the Big Tap In on 04/20/2013. Pours a hazy straw color with a medium thin and fizzy white head that evaporates quickly. Spotty lacing. Aroma of citrus and malt. Light-bodied and very carbonated with flavors of lemons, grain and ginger. The finish is sweet with a fruity aftertaste. Slightly below average overall.

12oz. Odd beer given my experience with the Balkan and European trends with these beers. Higher alcohol, slightly less sweetness.. this seems to be in the market for alcopops like Smirnoff Ice, etc. It tastes some of real beer, and some of real chemical lemon. It is sweet but not unpleasant. It is just a fruity medium bodied beer and I don’t know what that is about. I would, somehow to say, prefer the lower alc ones in E Europe, they make a little more sense as relaxing summer beverages.

Bottle gift from SJ. I wasn’t crazy about this. Notes of ginger, lemon and some other spice. Body was thin, I didn’t think it was well-balanced.

Tap at Hunan #1. Thanks to the rep team. Cloudy yellow pour. Weaker white head. Nose is mild sweet lemon dessert. Taste is very cloying, medicinal, sticky. Not enjoyable. None of my semi beer nerd friends enjoyed. I don’t think this is a style to make "happen" for the summer.
