Driven by wanderlust and a desire for discovery, the Curious Traveler™ set out to explore the globe. Always fearlessly inquisitive, he relished opportunities to befriend other travelers and to experience cultures he had only previously imagined. He sampled their wares, their foods and most importantly their libations. Some were good. Some not so good. Others were downright dangerous. Many years into his travels, his pace slowed on a particularly sweltering day. He sought refuge in a small pub to escape the oppressive heat. Before he could even finish wiping his brow, the bartender handed him a glistening glass of ale. The Traveler took a liking to the invigorating lemon shandy concoction. “Quite a refresher!” he said gratefully. The Traveler has never stopped exploring – in fact, he’s on the road this very day. Somewhere. Only one thing has changed: he now makes sure he orders a shandy everywhere he goes.

Bottle: Hazy gold pour with a quick thin white head. aroma is lemon, malted wheat? hint of ginger ale. Flavour is also suggests gingerale with lemonade. Tapers off to a light lemon finish.

Smells nicely sweet. A cloudy golden color, very little head. Tastes like a sweet lemonade. No aftertaste. Enjoyable but not extraordinary.

Pours a cloudy yellow with not much of a head and no lacing. The aroma has a faint scent of ginger. The taste is semi-sweet and pretty clean. It’s certainly not over the top fruity and falls more in line with a wheat beer. Not really my cup of tea but it’s drinkable. Ok.

Malt and lemon, though a bit artificial in nature. Slightly bitter at first, then sweet, Light as an ale, but heavy in sweetness. Not very tart. Would probably be better ice cold on a very hot day.

From a bottle poured a straw color with a fair amount of head. Light sweet malty flavor with a quick tart finish.

The aroma is pretty average with malt, lemon and funk. The appearance is cloudy gold with an average head. The taste is like the aroma with a robust lemon taste. The palate is average. Overall a pretty good session beer.

soft sweet taste. more of a dessert beverage. not a drinking mans beer. an easy drinker with floral notes.

12 oz bottle poured into pint glass. Paper thin head vanished quickly to nothing. Strained to smell something, light lemony but not much. Very common citrus flavor kind of like lemonade. As cloudy as it is (which isn’t necessarily a bad thing) was hoping for more flavors.

There is a brewing company called House of Shandy. What is the possible market for such a company? Those people too good to drink Bud Light Lime and Miller Chill but not above drinking pre-bottled shandies exclusively? I do not think this market is too big. My advice: invest in some other brewing company. For its part, Curious Traveller does not taste bad. It tastes like Country Time Lemonade. It’s a very cloudy orange, looks very yeasty but could be granules of Country Time Lemonade mix or something. There is a slight beery aroma if you search for it but, really, this falls on the "malt beverage" side of the line for me. I can drink it but it’s not good beer.
