Driven by wanderlust and a desire for discovery, the Curious Traveler™ set out to explore the globe. Always fearlessly inquisitive, he relished opportunities to befriend other travelers and to experience cultures he had only previously imagined. He sampled their wares, their foods and most importantly their libations. Some were good. Some not so good. Others were downright dangerous. Many years into his travels, his pace slowed on a particularly sweltering day. He sought refuge in a small pub to escape the oppressive heat. Before he could even finish wiping his brow, the bartender handed him a glistening glass of ale. The Traveler took a liking to the invigorating lemon shandy concoction. “Quite a refresher!” he said gratefully. The Traveler has never stopped exploring – in fact, he’s on the road this very day. Somewhere. Only one thing has changed: he now makes sure he orders a shandy everywhere he goes.

12 oz. bottle from Cash Wise liquors in Watford City. Appearance: finger white sparkling head that does not last, pale straw, clear. Aroma: lemon, lime, light wheat, light biscuits. Palate: light body, sparkling carbonation, light cloying sweetness, Taste: citrusy lemon lime, into a cloying caramel taste. Overall, poor balance, fake sweetness that is cloying, refreshing, but really dissatisfying.

On tap at BW3s. Pours a cloudy pale yellow with medium frothy white head that lasts. The aroma is strong lemon zest and wheat. Thin mouthfeel with strong cereal, lemon, wheat, bit watery, decent.

Bottle at home. Pours a very hazy pale yellow. Aroma is lemonade. Flavor is lemonade. I don't mind shandys, but this was a bit too much. Thickly sweet lemonade that was just yuck. I have it to my son. He seemed to like it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Poured cloudy yellow color with an average frothy white head that lasted with good lacing. Complex lemon citrus aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium citrus sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. This is a refreshing beer.

On tap, poured into a shaker. The aroma is a strong lemon citrus with tangerine, candy sugar, some other tropical fruits, and a late hint of vanilla bean and anise (maybe more root beer-esque). It pours a murky orange yellow color with a medium thin ring that leaves only a thin ring with no lace. The taste is a medium sweet with light notes of bitter and and even lighter sour. The small bubble, soda-like, fizzy carbonation has a light body and a thin texture. The finish is a fruity soda and vanilla bean flavor with a touch of resin. The aftertaste is lightly tart and dry and it lingers (but it’s not offensive)

On tap at Champs. Aroma of corn, lemonade, and pils yeast. Pours hazy canary yellow with a nice small head and lingering lacing. Taste is lemon peel, italian water ice, corn, wheat, and a light stale finish. Not too sweet but all the makings of a fruity witbier. Not the worst I’ve had.

pours hazy if not cloudy pale yellow-greyish with a creamy and tall white head, good retention and lacing. lemon juice made from concentrate, RealLemon *TM, ginger zing and pepper, sweetish malt bill, slightly weedy and grassy, some dust. moderately low carbonation, light body - oily and a bit sticky, semi-sweet, very lightly astringent, gently citric-lemony and a tad bland grassy-herbal finish. interesting.

Transfer from BA review on 10-18-12- Served on tap in a pint glass Appearance – Served a hazy yellow-orange colored brew (think watery orange juice with tons of pulp) with a tiny white head. The head faded fast leaving very spotty lacing. Smell – The aroma was rather light. There was a orange aroma with some lighter notes of lemon and biscuit. Taste – The taste was bready and sweet upfront with lemon and a wheat bread flavor. The lemon sweetness was combined with some orange sweetness more toward the middle of the taste. An overall citrus drink flavor was on the tongue at this point. In the end the citrus sweetness seems to grow even stronger, but is also accompanied by a more biscuity flavor, which with the citrus leave a sweet tart (pastry) flavor to linger on the tongue. Quite sweet but delicious. Mouthfeel - The body of the beer is rather light in terms of creaminess and is crisp on the tongue. The carbonation level is on the higher side and when combined with the crisper body, it was fantastic for the lemon tart flavors. Overall – While sweet and citrusy, it is very easy drinking and delicious. This is a wonderful light dessert beer or a thirst quencher on a warmer day.
