Driven by wanderlust and a desire for discovery, the Curious Traveler™ set out to explore the globe. Always fearlessly inquisitive, he relished opportunities to befriend other travelers and to experience cultures he had only previously imagined. He sampled their wares, their foods and most importantly their libations. Some were good. Some not so good. Others were downright dangerous. Many years into his travels, his pace slowed on a particularly sweltering day. He sought refuge in a small pub to escape the oppressive heat. Before he could even finish wiping his brow, the bartender handed him a glistening glass of ale. The Traveler took a liking to the invigorating lemon shandy concoction. “Quite a refresher!” he said gratefully. The Traveler has never stopped exploring – in fact, he’s on the road this very day. Somewhere. Only one thing has changed: he now makes sure he orders a shandy everywhere he goes.

Tap to Pint Glass. Pours a foggy yellow with a thin white head. Nice citrus taste with a big of bubbly. Nice on a hot day

Pours a hazy golden with a minimal eggshell head. Sweet lemon dominates the aroma but let’s past a bit of malt. Flavor is more like good lemonade than beer, but provides refreshment that will take the edge off a hot day. Texture is quite fizzy and rather firm. Best for sipping in e summer heat while chillin’ or watching a ball game.

Milky yellow to straw gold pour with a 1 finger, creamy, bright white head. Aroma is crushed whole lemon, a little toast and salinity. Flavor is lemon (more straight juice that the aroma), a hint of dusty grain and stronger lemon flavors toward the finish, more flesh plus peel-like as it goes. Light body, juicy to syrupy feel and chalky feel, light to medium strength, blanketing and sharp carbonation. OK overall, not much beer character, but it’s a nice lemonade.

Appearance: slightly hazy yellow, short white head. Aroma: lemonade, wheat, light mineral water, some grass. Taste: sweet tart lemon candy, light crackery malts. Finish: lingering lemonade sweet and tart notes, with a bit of a lagery aftertaste. Notes: This is exactly what a radler should be. That said, it’s not exactly my favorite style. If you want a Mike’s Hard Lemonade, but don’t want the "To Catch a Predator" jokes, drink this.

Pours cloudy yellow, with a strong aroma of citrus. Citrus permeates the flavor too, but it tastes like the oil from the rind. Not bad, but bitter.

3/17/14. 12oz bottle from Liquor Barn. I enjoyed this straight from the bottle but I’m sure it looks just fine. Smells surprisingly a lot like beer. Some pale malts, mild lemonade aspect, sorta like fake lemon candy. Sweet lemon candy flavor, not too offensive, pretty refreshing in all honesty, but not something I could take for long. One bottle is good.

Bottle. Nose is straight-up fresh-squeezed lemon juice, perhaps some small amount of wheat, pours hazy light yellow with a dense bright white head. Soft light body but very crisp with carbonation, very sweet and sugary, huge lemon in the mouth. Simple and seemingly pretty clean, it does its thing well and without hesitation, and I find it easy to suck down.

Pours a cloudy orange with almost no head. Tasted like fizzy lemonade, not beer. This might be OK in the summer, but not in the middle of winter!

12 ounce bottle from Wegman’s Leesburg. Pours a murky yellow color with a thin frothy white head. Fair head retention. Aroma of tart lemonade and a faint but of crisp malt. The taste is pale malt, vanilla, lemon sweet mostly but with a hint of tartness. Thin-medium bodied, creamy, high carbonation. It is what it is.
