I really enjoyed this treat that my wife brought back from Peru. It is refreshing and simple, perfect for the tropical heat of Panama. Less complexy and esery than true German hefes, but light, and grassy and truly refreshing. Not cloying, not full, I drank the whole 660 ml before the bottle got cold in near 90 degree tropical heat. Perhaps made for a mass market, but quite drinkable. I wish that I had more.

This was a good attempt at a decent Weizenbier. It could have some more of banana bubblegum and cloves, but it was a nice surprise. Highly recommendable, if you see this bottle at your local Andean shop while on tourism in Peru.

Aroma: Medium bready. Medium-light banana. Medium-light clove. Appearance: Very hazy burnt gold body. Medium, fine, white head. Good retention. Flavour: Medium toasty, banana, clove. Well balanced. Medium-light sweetness. Low bitterness. Dry, crisp finish, light tartness. Mouthfeel: Very high carbonation, creamy. Light body. Overall: Very nice. Can do with more banana & clove, but otherwise a good beer. 330 ml bottle, poured. Thanks Danie! 15A. Weizen/Weissbier

Poured from a bottle in the sacred valley of Peru it is a cloudy light golden color with a white frothy head. The aroma is malty and the taste is sweet with a bready flavor that resonates on the palate

From a 33 cl bottle in the Sacred Valley of Peru. Pours a cloudy gold with a thick white head. Mild malty nose. Flavors of lemon and biscquit. Light bodied. Crisp finish.

Flaska.

Cusqueña beers don’t fit too well in typical styles. This is a wheat beer, but it is more like a lager, grainy, but with hints of wheat and a little bit sweet. Smells more like a lager too. It has medium body and it is very drinkable, not like a weissbier or an American wheat, but it is better than any american style lager.

Cerveja leve, sabor bem leve de trigo, se nao fosse a coloração e o visual turvo, daria até para se enganar com outro estilo de cerveja, pelo sabor fraco do trigo. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Até que fez uma bela espuma no copo, porém sem aroma e com sabor um pouco doce, mas sem presença. Achei fraca demais. Uma versão de trigo para as american lagers. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

330ml bottle - a restaurant in Ollantaytambo, Peru. Poured a hazy yellow with a creamy, lasting and lacing one-finger white head. A gentle incline from the standard in that the bar characteristics of Cusquena are present with additional, but subtle, notes of lemon, wheat, esters and spice. Light to medium body, soft to medium carbonation, a crisp and fresh mouth feel finishing soft and lightly bitter.

Bottle 330ml. Pours blond/whitish with low white head. Aroma is of citrus, malt. Taste is of citrus, malt, sweetness, wheat. Palate: Ligth body. Overall: This one is more fair than I would have thought. A tad cloying, but not too bad.
