Bottle, 5.6%. Fat, roasted aroma. Very dark brown colour, red shine. Small tan head. The flavour is very malty and sweet. Lots of maltose, but not quite molassis. Similar to hvidtøl. I like it.

Bottle. Pours clear very dark copper brown with airy tan head. Clear aroma of malt and caramel with notes of molasses and roast. Sweetish flavour of caramel and malt with a note of sweetener. Mildly bitter, slightly metallic finish, otherwise sweet. Not the best Schwarzbier I’ve tasted (it is one at all?), but drinkable.

330ml bottle. Diacetil, lot of caramel aromas. Pours black, some tan head, vanishing, no lacing. Light to medium body, average carbonation, oily texture. Taste is some liquorice, coffee. Watery, too light and unbalanced, very sweet. Unpleasant.

330 ml bottle in a restaurant in Cuscvo, Peru. Poured a deep brown with a dense, large and lasting beige to light brown head. Sweet and lightly toasted malts, brown sugar, milk choc and a definite lactic edge. Light to medium body, medium carbonation, soft and bittersweet finish.

Appearance: Almost pitch black (subtle red) color with a thick tan head. Ok lacing.
Aroma: Sweet wort and light roasted malt.
Palate: Medium body. Very sweet and a moderate bitterness. Soft carbonation.
Taste: Rich sweet malty and some light roasted notes.
Overall impression: Oh no. And it did not remind me much of an Schwarzbier.
Personal stats: Bottle from a small Philippine grocery store at Piazza Mancini (bus station) in Rome, Italy.

An ok beer, but nothing exceptional. Last time I had it with my wife’s family in Peru, they mixed it with soda and I can see why. It’s somewhat bland for a dark beer. Reminds me of the dark beer Xingu from Brazil. It starts out ok, but then doesn’t deliver any kind of depth.

Bottle 330ml. Pours black with low beige head. Aroma is of sugar. Taste is of sweetness, malt, very sligth hints of roastiness, fruits. Palate: Ligth-medium body. Very poor balance: way too sweet. Overall: A bad, weird one. Not good at all. I would’nt drink a full 330ml. All that sugar is really too much.

a beige head that disappears into nothing, opaque brown. smell is dark roast, sweet brown bread, intense maltiness, toffee. taste is very sweet, dark caramel, some burnt grains, but not coffee, brown bread. slightly spicy, like gingerbread. it’s slick, medium bodied. ha, it’s the sweetest beer ive had in a long, long time, bitterness must be about 15 IBU with a very high FG. it’s a great price and a unique beer, but could never choke down more than one because of the fairly cloying sweetness. try it once

Bottle, thanks Diamond Warriors! Roasted and smoked light metallic aroma. Black, cappucino cream. Caramel, light worty base, roast, smoke, coffee, just enough hop balance. Medium body, mellow mouthfeel. A bit on the nourishing sweet side, but overall quite enjoyable.
