2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
a beige head that disappears into nothing, opaque brown. smell is dark roast, sweet brown bread, intense maltiness, toffee. taste is very sweet, dark caramel, some burnt grains, but not coffee, brown bread. slightly spicy, like gingerbread. it’s slick, medium bodied. ha, it’s the sweetest beer ive had in a long, long time, bitterness must be about 15 IBU with a very high FG. it’s a great price and a unique beer, but could never choke down more than one because of the fairly cloying sweetness. try it once

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Dark brown impenetrable body, beige dense head. Aroma rosted malts, lirorice. Palte is watery, low carbonated, little oily. Taste is sweet mostly, with some malty , and lirorice notes. Finish is weak and sweet. Overall easy to drink Schwarzbier, slightly too sweet but not bad at all.

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 6/20
Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 2C). Bottle 33 cl - Batch unknwon. AROMA: low roasted malt aroma with faint corn and caramel notes. APPEARANCE: dark brown color with slight ruby highlights and almost opaque. style average tanned head with average retention. TASTE: high sweetness from adjuncts or remembering under-attenuated wort. low roasted flavor masked by the sweetness with a cocoa character. no bitterness with a sweet finish. PALATE: medium-light body with average carbonation. OVERALL: a very sweet dark lager. unbalanced.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
330 ml bottle. Dark ruby red/brown with a huge, creamy and persistent light beige head. Looks great. Pretty pleasent aroma to be honest, rather cinnamon forward, earthy and slightly spicy, subtle roasted malts presence, cocoa powder as well. Completely different flavour wise, huge artificial caramel sweetness, more than normal astringency, overall cloying and too sirupy, especially for the style. Slightly grapey aftertaste. Average carbonation, medium body, oily texture. Not undrinkable, but quite disappointing as I love schwarzbiers but this one is, imho, subpar and quite different than your typical dark lager.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
330ml twist off bottle served in a Weizen glass.
A: Pours a deep amber to brown color forming a medium tan head. Low retention with a very persistent thin layer left on the top. Very few lacings left
S: Quite sweet in the nose. Followed by roasted malts and bready Lager yeasts. Notes of milk and butter too which gives the impression that some diacetyl are left. Some alcohol can be noticed in the very end, despite of the low ABV
T: Quite sweet upfront. Toffee, roasted malts, caramel malts, bready yeasts, notes of coffee, butter and light hop bitterness in the very end
M: Light bit creamy and bit molasses body. Medium to low carbonation. Bittersweet aftertaste
O: Medium to drinkability. Too sweet. Not recommend
