Cusqueña is a super-premium lager from Cuzco, the seat of the Inca empire. Brewed since 1911, it uses only the finest natural ingredients, including pure mountain water from a source at 18,000 feet in the Peruvian Andes.

Not much aroma to this one, standard pale lager faint hops and malt detectable. Pours dark amber with a thin dissipating white head. The taste is crisp and refreshing with caramel, biscuit flavor malt and low hop bitterness most noticeable. It is well carbonated and for the style is thicker bodied and darker than your standard pale lager. Overall this beer is nothing exceptional but worth a try if you enjoy drinking lager.

Bottle. Clear golden colour with small white foam. Aroma: some malts and caramel notes. Taste: very watery and bland, hint of malts, a bit sweet. Slight bitterness. Uninteresting, to say the least.

Clean aroma, a touch of Pilsner malt. Bright, clear, sunshine gold color. Some sweetness followed by reasonable bitterness. Not much hop aroma or flavor, but some bitterness, which lingers. Fairly refreshing, but not overly light or watery. Finishes clean.

Para mi creo que la calidad de está cerveza ha bajado. No tiene mucho sabor, antes tomaba esta cerveza con más gusto, ahora la veo igual que la cristal o una heineken. Mucha publicidad por poca cosa.

Shared 640ml bottle. Poured copper coloured and completely flat. Slightly sweet, nothing much else to note. May be a bad bottle but really this wasn’t good

From a 33 cl bottle at a Peruvian restaurant in Lima -- the only beer choice on the menu. Pours a clear gold with a white head. Standard pale lager aromas and taste. Meh.
