Sampled in Peru. A fair local brew. Served ice cold and the brew drinks very smoothly. Basically the Peruvian Bud Light

Bottle @ home. Peru tick. Clear, slightly orangish, golden yellow appearance with an off white head. Light pils/pale malty, a touch fruity, straw aroma. Bland, light, sweet pale malty flavor with a somewhat bitter finish. Not much going on here.

33 cl mooi gestileerd flesje. Gekregen van David R. Het bier is een beetje slap en smaakloos. Snel dood.

5.0% pronounced "cus-ken-ya" gold but has no head, some hops in the aroma, usual larger taste with a hint of citrus in there, best South American beer I have had, I was surprised that I liked it.

Shared this bottle with Craig at the Brauhaus. Pours a golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma of bready yeast, caramel and barley. An upfront caramel flavour gives way to yeast and some grassy hops. Moderate carbonation and a foamy mouth-feel.

Best beer in Peru. Pale lager, albeit irregularly produced. Botlled in the heughts of cusco much better than the Lima and Arequipa bottlers, and generally the small bottle better than the liter and 2/3 liter versions. Little aroma and lightly hopped, but a nice refreshing palate, and malty flavor. Clearly above the commercial beer average.

UPDATED: FEB 27, 2012 Bottle. Golden colour with a white head. A very standard lager beer, nice and easy drinkable. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma and flavour.

Bottle. Sweet nose of malt and light corn. Clear deep golden body with an off-white head. Sweet taste has matching bitterness, malt comes in waves and the body is just impossibly thick for this kind of beer, soft and oily. Light grass and black pepper with slightly more substantial dirt. Standard pale lager.
