A nicely put together porter from this new brewery. Deep rich ruby colour. Roast malt and restrained coffee in the aroma. Lots of roast malt in the flavour too but, again, there’s a bitter espresso coffee element coming through too. Dry finish with some acidity. Medium bodied with a fresh mouthfeel. Impressive. Cask (gravity dispense), Reading Beer Festival 2005.

Cask at London Drinker Festival 2006. Deep brown. Coffee, roasty aroma. To taste this is sweet fruity and rather roasty. Simple porter.

Cask@Reading BF. Nice acidic dry porter with some nice berry fruit and roasted malt flavours. Medium body with some nice roasty bitterness in the finish. Nice one.
