Light grassiness - some cotton candy/bubblegum. Cotton candy/gum continue into flavor. A bit of dusty malt.

Appearance: amber with slight haze , frothy white thin mid top . 2+
Nose: sweet , fruity character , bit funky with leafy citrusy hops.
Flavor/Palate : Mid bodied , caramel malt based , quiet sweet with mix of various hops. Some sourness with funk on side . Was that intended? Beer with some potential if done right.

(draft @ 2006 Autumn Festival of Ales - Honeoye Falls, NY) Light gold in color with not much carbonation. Aroma is bitter and lemony with some dry hops. Flavor is bitter and dry with hops and malt. Kind of tastes like your regular run of the mill beer. Nothing special really.

Bottle. Pour is an oddly hazy dark gold with a decent white foamy head. Aromas are heavy with silo dust and sweetness. Flavor is pretty miserable. Lots of honey buns, grain dust and meh.

On tap, Buffalo Brew Fest. Golden color, white head. Mild fruit, some grains, light hops. Light bodied. Boring!

Sampled at the Flour City Brewers’ Fest 2008. Custom Brewcrafters Canandaigua Lake Ale is solid and golden in appearance with a white film for a head. There isn’t much aroma besides a slight whiff of caramel. It is light bodied and feels a little metallic in the mouth. The finish is dry. It tastes a little sour and a little phenolic. Something seems a little off here.

Aroma of grassy citrus and dusty malts. Hazy orange and bubbly. Taste is soapy bitter dried out sweet. Smooth, plush body which doesn’t add much to the beer overall. Very basic stuff here that is noteworthy only in its blandness.

Bottle ( 12oz ). Shared with blankboy and garthicus. Slightly hazy light copper-gold, average lasting fronthy white head. Fairly nasty vegetal aroma, vaguely herbal. Dry, sour, somewhat harsh aroma - bleh. Light body, decent carbonation, not much malt to it ... lame stuff.

Bitter and watery. Not much else going on with it. Needs some malt backbone to balance the bitterness. Not really bad, but not really good either.

Pours light brown from bottle with a thin white head that doesn’t leave much lacing. I’m not getting much aroma from this one. The taste is bitter without much corresponding hop flavor. Weird mouthfeel as though it hasn’t fully fermented. Finish is watery.
