COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Formulated with the thirst of an avid golfer after 18 holes in mind, this classic American Wheat beer is microbrewed locally in Honeoye Falls to have a light body and complexion, but a full, satisfying flavor. The CB’s brewmaster uses light barley malts and a unique American white wheat, with the ever favorite American hop variety, Cascade, adding a nice citrus character to the beer. This tastes really unique, you say? We sparingly add natural lemon extract to give this ale a clean, crist finish. An excellent complement to any meal.

A pre-packaged growler from Wegman’s supermarket in Perinton (Rochester), NY. Cloudy light-orange color. No head. Has chunks of something (presumably yeast) just sort of sitting there. Looks like it’s glowing; looks nice. Smell is an outstanding yeast aroma, with a kick of a pub ale. Butterscotchy, probably from ringwood yeast? Sweet and buttery. Bready and biscuity malt. Some light sour apple in the taste. Dry pub ale flavors. A tad musty, but appropriate to the styel. More butterscotchy as it warms. Lots of apple flavors. The yeast is a necessary dry counter to the sweetish malt. Thickness is a juice-like consistency. Finishes dry. Nice lasting film. Much better warmer. A bit sweeter than expected, but quite nice.

This is an alright ale. Sort of light in body with a dark gold color. Smells of citrus and leaves light floral and lemony flavorings.

Draft from the garage keg at my brother’s - citrus, lemon in particular, on the front, then malt, then a tiny squeak of hops. Watery in a thirst quenching way. Good beer made by good people.

Pours medium yellow with moderate lacing. Small amount of hops and malt. A nice lawnmower beer, but otherwise a bit over the top with the citrus.

really lemony nose - think lemonheads. some other light fruits I can’t place. Lemon pledge. Honestly tastes like someone added a lemon. A bit of lightly toasted malt. Cloyingly sweet.

Buffalo Brewfest 04. Wet grainy aroma on a yellow pour. Some citrus in there too. Taste is a dry citrus mix as well. Actually, this tastes like a hay loft, if that is possible. I have never quite had anything like this before. Terribly unbalanced - it got worse as it went on. Next please.

2004 on cask: Pours golden yellow with a nice aroma. Upon first taste the sweetness of the lemons come out and touch the palate. Definitely a good beer from costom brew crafters and one of the smoothest lagers I’ve had. Good beer for the summer.

Tap: pour was orange with a white head. Sweet fruit taste with orange and lemon flavors. Pretty nice summer beer. Would be good as a 19th hole refresher.

Tap: Pours with a nice white head, to a light golden yellow. Aroma: lemon, some hops, grass. Flavor: Lemon, slight malt and hops taste. Light body. Very easy to drink, but definitely not one of my favorites for this style.
