So rabid are we about roundball that in 1925 Mr. Naismith himself declared Indiana the center of the sport. Needing only five starters, the game was tailor made for the towns that dot Indiana and just one or two great players could take any school to the state finals – and immortality.

Half Court is out celebration of basketball fever and the sweat it takes for success. A noble example of an India Pale Ale, this beer pours with a thick white head and hits you directly with the scent of hops and citrus. Be forewarned, we’re just as hysterical about hops as we are hoops.

Draught at Slipper Noodle. Malty slightly hoppy IPA without too much going on. Pretty basic.

Aroma is citrus, earthy and slightly muddled together spices and sweetness. The flavor is citrus, earth/dirty, malts and a bitter/dryish finish.

tap at Ft Wayne Oktobeerfest 2013 - Pours hazy copper with a lingering off-white head. It features good, crisp bitterness and a little citrus character. It’s an average IPA, so to me that makes it good.

Aroma: Not too strong. More malts than anything. Appearance: Very dark orange. Taste: Begins with a hint of sweetness, finishes very earthy and piney but without many hops. Earthy flavors overpowering.

Thanks to Eric, who picked up some of these near his Bloomington home. Very impressive, fresh flavor in this Indiana pale ale. Fresh grass & floral notes, a bit of resin. Malt still comes thru. Real good.

bottle. Very solid IPA - tons of hops with great balance. Meets my requirements of a good IPA. Very excited to try their Imperial IPA, the Full Court. Of the 2 I’ve tried, impressed with this company

This bottled brew from a grocery store poured a small sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were quickly diminishing and left behind a very softly carbonated hazy dark orange brown colored body. The mild aroma was hoppy and malty. The mild citrus mouth feel was tingly at the start with a mediumly tingly finish with a medium hoppy aftertaste. The nice flavor contained notes of caramel and hops. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.

12oz bottle. Mostly clear orange yellow color. Thin off-white head. Nice spreads of lace. Kind of a caramel malty, lightly soapy hop flavor. Lightly citrusy. Moderate sweet taste, light bitter. Medium-plus body. Smooth, lighter, kind of crisp carbonation, lightly sticky finish. OK IPA. Not doing particularly much for me, and doesn’t taste as fresh as it could be (not date code found though)

Pours a clear gold color with a big eggshell head. Good lacing down the glass as I drank it. Smells of citrus/grapefruit with some sweetness from the malt cutting through the hops. Some vegetal smells as well. Taste citrusy but with a distinct sweetness from the malt and too much vegetal flavor. Finishes with a very sweet flavor. This beer could use a lot more bitterness. Also notes of oxidation in the finish. Finishes with a lot of wet band-aid flavor. Mouthfeel is good and creamy. Very oily and probably lots of dry hopping on this one. I’m always glad to see new breweries pop up especially ones so close to home. This is quite frankly a bad IPA, but check our their Imperial Stout. Much much better.
