diabel (1188), Aarschot, Belgium Feb 7, 2008 Bottle Clear blond body with an magnificent white, rocky head. Infected sourish aroma of peach, plums, wood, wine ... nice. I agree with Joe that this aroma might not be on purpose, but I like it anyway. Moderately bitter, lightly sweet aroma with some diacethyl (?), but not annoying. Quite dry initial flavour, but more citrus coming up to the end. Not perfectly balanced and not so complex either. Ok beer. SHIG (1358), Oberoffligen, Germany Feb 2, 2008 Bottle: Poured a murky blonde with white lacing head. The aroma is spicy and sour citrus. The taste is citrus with a tangy alcohol bite. JoeinUccle (601), Brussels, Belgium Sep 19, 2007 I’m about 99 percent sure I got an infected bottle. Definite brett characteristics, and I reckon they’re not supposed to be there. In seems to have been a happy accident, because I enjoyed it. 33 cL pours hazy gold with a big, lacey, off-white head. Lasts only a little while. Nose at first is sweet oranges and honey, but soon takes on some sour lemon and musty tones. Tastes tart, lemony and dry. Some spiced sweetness and caramel still detectable, but mostly tart and refreshing. Will re-rate non-infected as soon as I get a chance. imdownthepub (3817), Banbury, Oxfordshire, Oxfordshire, England Aug 11, 2007 Bottle conditioned, 330ml at Vieille Ardennes, Bouillon, Belgium. Clouded gold with white head. Another spiced blonde beer, quite bitter in character with a lemony, pithy note. Yeasty and a little wet cardboard. Could be better. The pub is marvellous, comfy and lively, worth a visit. Jerre (1256), Waregem, Belgium Jul 16, 2007 On tap @ festival Hotton, yesterday. Amber color, big white head. Aroma = fruity, very spicy. Medium body. Taste fruits (orange pellls) coriander; hops. Not bad.
