Cuvée des Trolls

An orange beer with no head. The aroma is very light sweet with a fruit note. The flavor is rather sweet and prickles the tongue instead of being bitter. Add to this some fruity and spicy notes - and You have a nice fresh beer. It is very light on the palate for a beer that holds 7.5% ABV.

Bottled. Pale yellow, clear. Light orangey aroma. Buttery and sweet, malty but spritzy with sweet empty finish.

(Bottle 25 cl) Hazy grey-orangey beer with a rather small head. Huge yeast sediment. Some odd spicy flavours and notes of candy sugar and toffee leaving only a weak sweetness. Unusual. 200402

26 ratings, and only one from North America. It appears as though Smokeless Joe's is the only place on this rock where you can buy this beer. Another continent-wide exclusive! Put that in your map room and smoke it. The glass is frosted so I can't see the beer all that well - looks light tan, with a moderate head. Slightly bready aroma with notes of pear brandy, apples, white pepper. Comes over crisp - a combination of firm malts and understated prickles of carbonation. Lightish character holds the beer back - slight alcohol dryness, with sweet malts cutting in late. Cross between a Duvel-style and a saison...good but seems incomplete.

25 cL bottle. Pours pale yellow with a white head. Orange fruity aroma and somewhat hayish malty. Soft mouthfeel. Flavour is slight bread malty, soft to sweet flavoured. Ends dry malty.
