Jerre (1410), Waregem, Belgium Jul 19, 2007 Bottle, 33 cl. (from festival Hotton) Dark amber-to brown, beige head. Aroma malts, flowers, grapes. Medium body. Taste sweet, moderately bitter, malts and a little sourness. Nice and drinkable. diabel (1210), Aarschot, Belgium Sep 4, 2005 Bottle at Delirium Cafe, Brussels, Belgium - Many thanks to Joris for sharing this one. Brown to black body. Fizzy, light brown head with a fair lace. Nose of grapes, flowers and hints of ruby port. Moderately sweet, moderately bitter flavour with a presence of malts. Very long-lasting flavour. Medium bodied. Fizzy carbonation. A quite sweet Belgian strong ale, but certainly no dominating sweetness, the sweetness is perceived as a ’side-flavour’ for the malty flavour. Very good! Bart (1401), Vosselaar, Belgium Jul 29, 2007 Darker amber brown coloured beer with medium carbonation and a small off-white head. Yeasty, slightly buttery roasted aroma with a light sourish touch. Full creamy palate. Finish is light sour, bitter sweet alcoholic with a herby touch. Very special lovely beer. JorisPPattyn (4514), Antwerpen, Belgium Sep 4, 2005 Fully hazy dark beer, with red highlights; gushing to rather small cream head. Very fruity nose, plums, dark but unripe grapes, slightly meaty, bit of nutmeg, alcohol and a profusion of higher alcohols. Sweet-sour, very penetrating and powerful taste, characterized by typical fusels and correspondent esters. Fruit again: dark fruit as plums, brambles, grapes. Alcoholburn obvious; fleshy, chewy MF and full-bodied. WOW. For a small, new brewery this is impressive. The more as we could taste this only at room temperature. Wim (792), Turnhout, Belgium Jul 29, 2007 dark amber brown coloured body with a disseperent off white head a yeasty roasted aroma a light sour fruity taste and a sweet fruity finich
