COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Thanks! Sample from draft @ Gollem. Dark red brown, big mocha / chocolate milk head. Nose is lots (way too much soy sauce), teriyaki sauce & overripe red fruits. Taste still has soy sauce but luckily less of it, iron, gravy, chocolate syrup, overripe fruits & herbs. Iron & light mashed fruits / syrup body. Too much ABV for the yeast it seems. Not my thing, didn’t like it. "Het lijkt erop dat dit degustatiebier deze bierliefhebber uitzongerlijk niet heeft kunnen bekoren."

Tap@ beerpreuvenement Horst. Donkerrode kleur, royale kraag. Veel te koud getapt en daardoor geen goed oordeel kunnen vormen.

Dark burgundy red beer with nice head. Nose filled with licorice and caramel. Malt and fruit in the mouth rounded with a hoppy spiceness.

On tap at De Heks, Deventer, as Wilderen Cuvee. Nice brownisdh coloured beer with a small off white head. Warming alcohol and a nice balance between sweetness ans hops. Nice finish

Tap @ Jan Primus, medium sample, served in a tulip glass. Clear dark brown color, medium light brown head. Aroma of spicy yeast, chocolate, slight dark bread, caramel, toffee. Bit dry in taste, quite sweet. Dark belgian strong ale is typical what it is. Quite tasteful. Medium carbonation, medium bodied. Decent stuff, nothing outstanding.

Very dark brown. Aroma is sweet but has and old slightly woody scent. Flavour is sweet, malty and boozy. Feels strong and going in the direction of a Rochefort. Best effort so far from Wilderen.

Tap at the Brouwcafe, Scheveningen. Poured a clear dark brown with a thin broken light tan head. The aroma is yeast and red berry fruit. The flavour is moderate sweet, light bitter with a rich sweet malt yeast fruit palate and a short bitter sweet finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. A nice rich beer. Lots of flavour and thankfully the sweetness is kept in check.
