3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 sayravai (4548) - Helsinki, - APR 3, 2005
(Bottled) Hazy, dark orange color with a medium, tight head. Perfumed, wheat-malty and yeasty aroma with mushroom hints. Malty and yeasty flavor with pea-soup and some syrupy sweetness. Medium-bodied, quite neutral, foamy but medium-carbonated palate. A quite enjoyable and decently balanced triple with some sahti character.

Bottle. Cloudy dark orange copper colour. Big creamy head with a beautiful lacing. Dry honey aroma, sweet and smooth with a light finishing bitterness.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 JorisPPattyn (6728) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - JUL 17, 2005
Huge, very fine off-white head, extremely stable; orange-copper clear ale. Very fresh "beery" -malt nose, as fresh malt before grinding, bit grassy; and garden herbs; little bit cookies, toasted. Bitterish and toasted-sweet main taste, bitter is more vegetable as hoppy in character. Spicey demarcation: peppery, Paradise seed, etc. Iron-y taste, not markedly more in the (very bitter) head. Medium bodied, slick but not cloying, (head) very creamy MF; yeast at end of bottle makes it even more creamy. Surprisingly pleasing beer, as this brewery hardly ranks amongst my favourites. Rather a triple ale (Spéciale Belge) than an abbey triple à la Westmalle Tripel.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 TBone (9414) - Pori, FINLAND - APR 21, 2005
Bottled (BB 11/2006)
Dark honey color (hazy when bottom yeast is added), tight off-white head. Sweet yeasty aroma, a bit hefeweizen like. Medium-bodied, flavors are not very strong. Some molasses and malts there, banana-flavored yeast in the middle, some hoppy bitterness in the finish, alcohol picks up in the aftertaste. Well-balanced, very drinkable but simple tripel, I would call this "session triple".
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Ernest (5183) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JAN 20, 2005
Head is initially large, frothy, rocky, white, mostly lasting. Body is hazy light amber, bottle conditioned. Aroma is moderately malty (toasted bread, nuts), lightly hoppy (flowers), lightly yeasty (cobwebs), with notes of clove and pineapple. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium to full body, velvety texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic. Not the most interesting or flavorful tripel, but it’s well done and nicely behaved in all categories.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Bov (7354) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - DEC 3, 2003
cloudy dark orange colour, big creamy head with a beautiful lacing, dry honey aroma, sweet and smooth with a light finishing bitterness - all the characteristics of a tripel but some power and originality are missing
