Clear, copper/gold in the glass with an initially thick and frothy white head. Aroma is clean and precise with dry sour, lemon, light oak, and perhaps some white wine but I may be confusing that with the overall acidity. Smooth and even feel in the mouth. Taste is a medium level of tart with relatively light sour, white wine grapes, and lemon. I do not pick up on any funk from the Girardin. Well balanced and tasty beer.

From notes: Pours a dark golden amber/orange color with a thin white head that settles into a thin lasting ring. Sporadic spots of lacing left behind. Slightly funky aroma with earthy, musty oak and horseblanket along with vinous fruit notes and subtle vinegar. Hints of sweet apple and pear balance out the funky/tart character in the nose. Medium bodied with a great balance of sweet, estery light fruit and tart, puckering sourness. Funky with lots of musty oak and vinegar flavor as well as some slight lacto mid-palate but this is balanced out by vinous, sweet fruit notes, especially apple, grape and pear. The combination of sweet fruit notes and vinegary sour/tartness results in a sweet, mouth puckering, tart finish that isn’t abrasive or acidic. Recommended.

Dark golden and hazy. Has a white head, mostly lasting. Acidic aroma, notes of red fruit, oak too. Flavor is moderate sweet, heavy acidic, light bitter finish. Heavy dry texture, lively carbonation.

Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are rich brett, straw, malt, leather and is nice and acetic.

Bottle. Frothy white good mostly lasting head. Orange colour. Powerfull sour aroma. Great sour flavor. Long fantastic complex finish. Creamy palate. Exstremely great stuff.

Bottle: Small white foamy lacing on top of a hazy orange beer. Smell mushrooms, wood, sour, light spicy and wheaty and something port-a-like.  Taste is a lovely and very well balanced sour ale.

750mL bottle, pours hazy dark orange with a white head. Aroma of sour apples, other sour fruits, yeast, and a potent vinous quality. Flavour is quite complex, with sour fruits and dry vinous qualities, drhy apple and a slight sour finish. Extremely well-balanced and very enjoyable (especially considering this isn’t normally a preferred style of mine).

Orange gold pour with a foamy white head. Funky aroma with some fruit and leather. Flavor is funky more than it is sour. Some vinegar and lemon come through. Really very good.
