On tap @ Brassigaume. Cloudy orangish golden colour and nice white head. Sour, brett, peach, wood and fruits in the aroma. Average carbonation and medium body. Taste is tart, light sweet with a long dry, bitter finish. Overall, a very good beer.

Beware, this is a kind of a beer experience. Pours hazy to cloudy orange with a thick creamy head, not the head of a gueuze or flanders at all. Aroma is complex with notes of peaches, grapefruit, hops, sour cherries, wood, straw, musty earth. Light sweet and of course tart, but in a balanced way. The finish is lingering bitter. Very smooth palate with thin carbonation. Alcohol integrated in all the flavours and hard to notice. If you like flanders red, gueuze and XX bitter then you might be happy with this one. Also for Orval aficionados. As drinkable but even more complex. Great idea to blend all these flavours and just a master achievment.

4/3/2011 5:52:51 AM On cask at Moeder Lambik. Body is light tan with tiny head. Nose is sour but not too sour. Taste sweet, sour and quite clean. Nice texture and balance. Not my style but very good nonetheless.

750ml bottle, thanks to Alf for this beer gift. Slightly cloudy golden body. Dissipating, bubbly off-white head. Fruity tartness on the nose, dry. Refreshing tart fruity flavours, lemon, rhubarb and farmyard. Tart, sweet and dry ending. Medium bodied. Quite nice and refreshing in smaller amounts (shared with friends at IHR, Tromsø 18.09.2015).

Orange and rose amber colour; almost no foam. Smell of candied cherry, peach, quince; rough. Very pronounced bitterness tending to grapefruit’s peel. Nice to end a (very tasty) dinner.

Aged one year in bottle. Pours a hazy burnt straw colour with a ton of off white head, dense but subsides easily. A steady carbonation stream in the body. The nose is addictive and multi faceted. Woody, funky, earthy and leafy notes are first apparent then the citrus and fruit come in with lemon zest, orange and grapefruit making an appearance with a candied wheat malt.Quite sweet up front with a balancing bitterness and funky earth note. Leather and horse blanket galore with mild tannic notes, stone fruit and dried apricots. Toasted caramel and grainy notes blend in well with the fruits. Sweet and sour with funky barrel notes, musty earth and floral notes. Too complex to note on.
