Bottle: Golden to copper coloured, hazy, mid-sized loose white head; solid bretty and woody nose with a pale-malty background; solid dry sourish-bitter flavour, medium bodied, tart MF; solid tart-fruity finish with both a slight bitterness and sweetness in the aftertaste. Good, good, good......

Also at mouder lambic. Much as M. Jackson always says, "the seduction of the presentation of Belgian brews" the unwrapping of the bottle, the basket, ooo yes. Smells bitter and of citrus fruits Flavor is sour but very dry and hoppy also. Complex. Pairs well with the dank cheese. Hops and lambik, an American beer lovers dream when traveling through Brussels. Backdoor dry but also starts dry. The middle gets lambik tartness on the tongue. Odd and excellent

750ml bottle bottled in April of 2008. Best before 04 2013. It pours into my 25cl geuze glass a clear gold with hues of orangeish amber and a fizzy white head that leaves a bit of lacing. It certainly looks drinkable. The smell is quite geuze like. IT has some intense apple notes, some sour apple, lemon, and other fruit. There is a slight hint of caramel form the malt. It also has some acidity and the oft noted barnyard funk, though the funkiness is kept pretty much at bay in the smell. The flavor is tart and sour. It has some really strong green apple and lemon flavors. Just a nice tart acidity, almost like licking a lemon then eating a granny smith. It has a sweet initial taste but ends with a dry pucker. This is a really nice beer, a refreshing one despite the higher abv.

Some beers have the perfect description to pull you in. This is one of them. It poured a very nice orange in color with moderate turbidity and a half finger off white head. It almost smells like a gueuze yet also has a light sweetness to it. All I can really get from it is peaches, apricots, and fruit juice. It’s very appealing on the nose. The flavors are surprisingly VERY sour and tart. I expected it to be sour, just not this much. It’s very impressive. It is straight fermented sour peaches and apricots. It has a dry and almost bitter finish which is the only detractor but it drinks really well. To me, this drinks like a medium bodied gueuze with more carbonation than average. I really enjoyed this one, it’s a very nice beer.

(750ml bottle from Bruery Provisions store). Pours a hazy golden-orange color with a thin white head. Small carbonation bubbles. Aroma has funk, grape, barnyard. Taste is sour, with some vinegar, and a touch of sweetness. Fruity notes also. Medium bodied with a dry, puckering finish. This is a very nice sour beer that really has some nice subtleties about it.
