Bottle, 10C. Gold with a white head that settles to a finger, then lasts and laces. Aroma of musty lemons, apples, spices, those little rather wizened apricots you get in Europe. Beautiful alive, just slightly slippery texture. Taste has some simple but classy pale malt that’s slightly bready, apricot, lemon, mild funk, floral notes, perhaps more bitterness towards the end than sourness. Some apricot stones or almonds there too. This one is right up my street in terms of balance, character and openness of palate.

average white frothy head. good lacing. mostly diminishing. flat thick light-amber body. aroma: green apple, apple vinegar, white wine, horse blanket, vanilla (2nd glass), sweet, fruity, maybe pearish. if and ff: light bitter (lemon peel), moderate sour and very light sweet (background). palate: dry texture, medium body, lively carbonation, moderate astringent finish. Mal se sente os 7%, muito bem disfarçados, deliciosa adstringência, quase azeda, balanceada por 30% de Lambic. Percebe-se bastante fermentação. Lembra espumante de qualidade. "Azedume lembra tamarindo", Camila Yabu. Retrogosto ligeiramente salgado, dando uma nuance ainda mais exótica. Venc Jan/2015. Grandes resíduos no último copo. 210s

75cl bottle @Kaisla, Helsinki 12/12/12. BBE 10/2015. Clear amber, thin white head. Leather, stable, apples and dried fruits in aroma. Flavor has fresh, green apples, nectarine, barnyardy notes. Tart, funky flavor. Crisp, refreshing, very enjoyable.

Bottle 75 cl, BBE 10/2015. Pours clear bronze in color with thin bubbly head. Fresh apple, sour, some barnyard and funk in aroma. Flavor is quite similar with some fresh apple and fruity elements being rather overwhelming. Pleasant, sligthly sour and fresh fruity ’n crisp in aftertaste.

On tap in Moeder Lambic. Poured a reddish brown with a thick off white head. Aroma of sour sweet berry fruit. Medium body, flavour similar to the nose, with added floral aspects.

Fruity, sourish nose with vinegar, green grapes and grapefruit. Fruity, tart taste with notes of balsamic vinegar, dried fruit, grapefruit, green grapes and a well balanced acidity in a dry finish. Medium body, dry. Well balanced beer with a lovely sour/tart character. Very nice. 7/4/8/4/15=3.8. Rerate: (Bottle, 31 March 2013) Golden amber colour with dense, off-white head. Fruity, sourish nose with notes of citrus, unripe peaches, gooseberries, balsamic vinegar, green grapes and fresh aromas of barnyard. Fruity, tart taste with citrus, grapefruit, apricots, unripe green grapes, a touch of honey and a dry, tart finish with a slightly citric bitterness. Medium body, dry. Excellent beer with a fresh, balanced sourness. Lovely stuff!

750 ml bottle - pours clear bright light yellow with a steady head. Aroma is very fruity and funky, lighthly sour body and a great funky tast. Great beer!

Tralasciando il discorso prezzo, che fortunatamente é (per chi ne ha) è soggettivo, e una volta scartata la velina che avvolge la bottiglia, quelo che si versa nel bicchiere è un liquido giallo scuro e torbido, con una schiuma un po’ pigra che va tirata per le orecchie. Profumo forte, acido, inebriante, come ficcare la testa in un secchio di aceto. Il sapore non è da meno, come una coltellata nel palato. Il sapore è secco, muscolare. Difficile dire cos’altro si sente a parte l’aciditá e aktrettanto difficile capire se piace. Birra molto complessa e per questo non per tutti.
