2008 vintage from the bottle at Churchkey. Served in a snifter and split with drabmuh and mdfb79. Big thanks to Matt for suggesting that we get this one. Pours a golden-orange color with a half-finger white head and a bit of clingy lacing as it went down. The nose is fantastic. Quite a bit of earth with a nice amount of funk as well as really nice sour notes bringing up the rear. Some mild stone fruits throughout and carry over into the flavor. Taste is quite exquisite with really nice earthy notes and funk plus peach, apricot, and some lightly-tart berries. Maybe some cloudberry presence. Feel is slightly puckering and creates a really nice finish alongside some dry funk. Really, really drinkable. What a great way to end the night; I’ll surely be looking to find more of this in the future. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 11-18-2010

750ml bottle. Pours cloudy yellow. Small bone white head. Nose got a sour winous but in the same way little sweet malty touch. Also stable and some yeast. Flavor is vinous, fruity, some sweetnes. Little dry in the back. CO2 is quite low.

On cask at Moeder Lambik. Body is light tan with tiny head. Nose is sour but not too sour. Taste sweet, sour and quite clean. Nice texture and balance. Not my style but very good nonetheless.

Murky light orange with a white head. Very lambicy aroma with funk, barnyard and horse blanket. Less funk and sourness in the taste though, which is slightly sweet instead.

Enjoyed from a 750ml bottle in a stemless wine glass. The beer pours a light copper color, with essentially no head. Notes of leather, "sweaty horse blanket," and the countryside during Spring come through in the aroma. To call it "appetizing" would be the equivalent of calling Luther "vaguely significant." The palate shows a bit of spritz up front, before a moderate sourness, more of the aforesaid Brettanomyces characteristics, light fruit notes, a slight bitterness, and a touch of lemon come through. The palate is bone dry and mouthfeel is just right. Mouthfeel is perhaps just slightly filled out by a bit of residual Pediococcus character, but it is by no means ropy. The finish is dry, lightly tart, and lightly leathery. Overall, absolutely wonderful; seemingly the earthly form of what "cuvee" should mean.

Rate #500. Pours a golden color, clear and with a white soft pillowy head. Really nice aroma full of basement funk, sour lemons, barnyard, yeast, fresh baked bread, and some spice like cinnamon. Just a really nice complex aroma. The flavor is strong and sour and the 2 ales marry nicely creating wonderfully complex flavors. Nice light fruity flavors, lemon, and earth come through nicely. Very lively on the palate, somewhat thin body but it fits the style well. Finish is a little dry, but nice.

Trevlig doft av ek och äpple. Smaken ganska len - nästan vattnig. Ingen syrlighet eller eftersmak. Åt Timmermannshållet.

Sweet malty, brett-like aroma. Chalky gold color with off-white head. Light tart gueuze-like, musty but mild. A great beer. Notes: Zythos ’11
