750 ml bottle picked up at Zipps in Minneapolis by my Dad, recommended by Tyler. Pour is hazy golden orange with a 1/2 inch white head. Decent lacing is left behind as the head retreats. Aroma is tart, sour and musty. Tartness is a lemon tartness. Sour is cherries, very fresh cherries. Taste is sour tart lemon, with cherries adding a nice acidic edge. Very big citrus rind in the finish. Woodiness and earthiness are present in the aftertaste. Not overpowering at all nicely blended and superbly balanced. Soft and delicate. The finish is clean and really delicate. This was certainly the beer of the day at the csbosox tasting. Thanks for recommending this one Tyler, it was great.

Draft at moeder Lambic with Kimberly, Taylor. Pours hazy orange. Aroma is very much Gueuze, light refreshing. Taste is light to medium acidity, pretty dry, a little sharp on the citrus side, a bit of an off note that kills the beer and makes it kinda gross.

Hazy golden color with a fine white head. The first that’s hits me with this one is that is lake a very dry grapefruit juice. Rocks your mouth at start. But you just have to handle it. If you like guze/lambic and sour wild ale. Just buy this one. A bit extreme, but really nice.

Blended beer (’versnijbier’ in Dutch) made from matured Guldenberg and Girardin lambic since 2007. Loose, off-white head, dirty copper colour. Complex old geuze smell, bit funky, barnyard-like, sherry, peach, orange, caramel; taste fruity, sourish, earthy, malty, light hoppy finish. Very well balanced, the lambic may play a bigger role in it than the Guldenberg, but the result is truly great - if you like Belgian sour beers, of course.

Ottima

Bottle. Hazy orange with a medium sized diminishing good lacing white head. Wooden, barnyard, band aid, sour berries, sweet over ripe fruits, light earthy, mouldy. Medium body, oily texture, medium carbonation, medium sweet and sour. Good balance.

Draught @ Bier- & Eetcafé Gollem, Antwerp. Pours slightly hazy light amber with small off-white head. Clear vinous aroma, with notes of hops. Intense vinous flavour with touches of malt and a good deal of hops, ending perfectly dry. Lingering vinous aftertaste. Good. Really good. Really, really good.

Bottle from Dranken Pauwels. Colour is an amazing bright rich orange, clear, medium to large white foam head. Nose is sour, crisp, horse blanket, bit of vinous grape, leather, citrous lemon, apple skin tannins, hay, tart and musky. This smells great. And the taste lives up to it. Crisp, sour, tart, refreshing, with a lovely balance of apple skin, apple tart, vinous grape quality, citrous lemon, funky, slightly cheesy, and nice puckering sour on the finish. Great balance between crisp tartness and complex malt, accented by leather and cheesy funky farmyard. It’s complex and balanced. Sitting down on a campsite near Stonehenge with a chilled bottle of this. It is sublime. Could be my favourite house Gueuze.

Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma of citrus, light yoghurt, apricot, light wet dog. Light sour flavour, bitter, lemon zest, rather fruity. Light sour finish. Nice and balanced. Begs to open the next one.
