750 ml bottle picked up at Zipps in Minneapolis by my Dad, recommended by Tyler. Pour is hazy golden orange with a 1/2 inch white head. Decent lacing is left behind as the head retreats. Aroma is tart, sour and musty. Tartness is a lemon tartness. Sour is cherries, very fresh cherries. Taste is sour tart lemon, with cherries adding a nice acidic edge. Very big citrus rind in the finish. Woodiness and earthiness are present in the aftertaste. Not overpowering at all nicely blended and superbly balanced. Soft and delicate. The finish is clean and really delicate. This was certainly the beer of the day at the csbosox tasting. Thanks for recommending this one Tyler, it was great.

750 ml bottle at home from notes. Pours a hazy orange golden color with a medium sized white head. The aroma and flavor have tart/sour citrus, funk, yogurt, lemon, oak, some acidity, effervescent mouthfeel, solid brew that meets the sour need while still being very easy to drink.

Bottle. Pours golden, with a creamy head. Aroma is tart fruity brett, with notes of oak and a nice funkiness. Full body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is tart brett and oak, with funky notes of crisp rhubarb and red currants giving a lingering sour, berry finish.

I think my favourite of the night. Pours a slightly hazy golden. Great oaky, funky, lemon, and maybe some white grape aromas. Flavours are bitter and woody...slightly sour. Just wonderfully balanced and delicious. So good.

750 ml. bottle. It pours a hazy burnt orange color with a fizzy, off white head. Highly carbonated. The aroma is really great and almost gueuze-like with lots of candied grapefruit funk, hints of wood, hay and leather, some slightly more sour notes of stone fruit and hints of toasted grain in the background. The flavor is equally awesome with more sweet and sour grapefruit, leathery funk, citrus pith, apricot and peach notes, light herbals and toasted grains. Very funky, tart and leathery in the finish with more satisfying fruity sweetness for balance. A really spectacular blend. World class stuff.

One of my favorite sours. Hoppy and funky. Perfect combination. It’s a bit overwhelming on the beginning but once you get into it you just can’t get back. Perfect stuff from Belgium.

(On tap @ Moeder Lambic Fontainas, July 27 2015) Pours hazy orange gold with a dense lingering off white head, very lacy. Aroma has a sweet bready Belgian strong core with soft caramel, citrus, fruity esters with some peach, but also a grassy hop character. Lambic gives a fair helping of barnyard, and some oak. Flavour is tart and citrusy despite the sweeter malt core. Grapefruit, lactic to begin. Becomes very dry by the finish however with a big buildup of fresh oak planks, hop bitterness, dry leaves and musty Brett. Medium bodied with high effervescent carb. Cool blend of flavours with malt, hops and lambic funk. Better than expected, this was a really nice one.
