Enjoyed from a 750ml bottle in a stemless wine glass. The beer pours a light copper color, with essentially no head. Notes of leather, "sweaty horse blanket," and the countryside during Spring come through in the aroma. To call it "appetizing" would be the equivalent of calling Luther "vaguely significant." The palate shows a bit of spritz up front, before a moderate sourness, more of the aforesaid Brettanomyces characteristics, light fruit notes, a slight bitterness, and a touch of lemon come through. The palate is bone dry and mouthfeel is just right. Mouthfeel is perhaps just slightly filled out by a bit of residual Pediococcus character, but it is by no means ropy. The finish is dry, lightly tart, and lightly leathery. Overall, absolutely wonderful; seemingly the earthly form of what "cuvee" should mean.

2009 vintage. 750ml bottle thanks to Matt. Pours out a golden topped with a white head. Nose is nice dusty old wood barrel notes funk horse blanket and some citrus. Taste is as the nose with a nice barrel funk. This taste like the cantillon brewery smells like.

BOTTLE 75 CL. Bold yet soft and mellow aroma. Lactic sourness, barnyard/funk, and some peachy fruitiness too. The acidity is strong but not over the top, funky, green fruit stone bitterness. And though the beer is very try, somehow it feels a bit sticky.

750 ml bottle
Hazy pale orange beer with little but persistent white head. Aroma has barnyardy sourness, citrus and sour apple. Flavor has sourness, barnyard, white grapes and wheat. Some cherries as well. Palate is quite full with quite heavy carbonation. Finish has quite heavy bitterness. Aftertaste is sour with white grapes. A crisp and refreshing summer drink, although I was expecting a bit more. Very much like gueuze.

opalescent orange colour, half inch off-white head; aroma of sour fruits, citric notes, lactic acid and some barnyard; taste is the same with surprisingly present bitterness in the background of sourness; excellent sour beer

Blond. Small head disappearing fast. Some brett aromas and acidity. Could believe it’s a gueuze. Bittering is pronounced with more body than a gueuze. Acidity is normal to low.
