(Bottled, 0.75l) Hazy yellow with a large, white head. Pear-fruity aroma with pale maltiness and honeyish notes, and some Belgian yeastiness. Flavor is pale-malty, lightly caramelized, very fruity with pear and citrus notes and herby hops. Some cardboard in the finish, but nicely balanced sweetness. Medium to full body, slightly fizzy and high CO2. More complex and overall better than the regular version, but still far from perfect. 4346

Bottle 75 cl, BBE 2016. Pours hazy orange in color with a frothy head. Ripe fruity notes, sweet notes, some marzipan in aroma. Bit of yeasty notes in taste, some sweeter ripe fruity notes as well. Quite nice belgian brew. There’s some sweet sugary notes as well in the end. A bit too sweet though to be fully enjoyable.

4/28/2011: Brasserie de Dubuisson Cuvee Des Trolls Cuvee speciale... Aroma: Pale malt, yeasty and slightly musty; touch of sulfur. Appearance: Wow, the cork just shot out like a bullet! Pale yellow color like lemon juice; very cloudy; HUGE puffy and bubbly white head. Flavor: Light maltiness, a bit alcoholic, really mild spice and bitterness. Palate: Light, AIRY, and EXTREMELY carbonated (maybe even more than Champagne)! Overall: Fizzy, somewhat sweet, somewhat dry, high alcohol; decent overall, but nothing special.<br />

Not strong in the noise, light sour, fruity, hoppy. Small body, but nice in the mouth. The beer is light bitter and hoppy, with a sour fresh touch. It does'nt drink like a "real" tripel, it is only 7,5% which is low. It therefore a very refreshing tripel. The aftertaste is light and not very long, with again a light bitterness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
