Hazy golden with minimal head. Honey aroma. Honey and sweetness dominates the taste as well. Malty and minty. Very light taste. Can’t feel the 7% at all.

Bottle. Semi hazy pale golden body. Small head. Aroma has honey and lagery hops/yeast. Thin mouthfeel with prickly carbonation, feels like a force carbonated beer. Flavour is very much like a sweet strong pale lager. Well, what do you know - Dubuisson’s website makes it clear that "Cuvée des Trolls is a cool, light, lager-type beer".

jamaty (1149) - Madrid, SPAIN - JUN 12, 2015
Dorada pálida. Muy pocas espuma. Aroma a vainilla, bastante marcado. Poco cuerpo. Floja, aguada.

@ Hotel Van Belle, Brussels 150514. Bottle (250 ml) from local minimarket. Yeasty and malty with grassy and spicy notes, sweet, medium body with an oily texture. The finish is dry, yeasty and sweet.

Clear golden yellow with head. Aroma from malt en corny. Taste is fruity and a bit watery.

From the corked, caged 750 ml. bottle. Explosive cork pop, which I tend to favor. Pale yellow pour, big head but good clarity. Sediments. The aroma has a thin toasted malt character but the sweetness and banana fruitiness really take things over. Light to medium body. Sweet malty taste but nothing that sets this apart from others in its class. Actually far more sweet than I like my Belgians to be. It cost me $15. Kind of wish I had bought something else.

On draught at Torgodaya (sp?), Reims, 4/22/15.
Can’t actually find this bar on the internet which is crazy. Definitely misspelling the name, and I even know what building it is on google maps (next door to Matsuri), I believe 7 Rue de Chativesle. It’s quite a nice spot with 12 taps (nothing micro) but at least La Chouffe and some others. They also have in-house macerated rums, ranging everywhere from coffee to banana-basil. I had fresh basil and also the pepper, both were excellent. Bartenders were friendly and it was nice and dark with a t.v. showing first a football match and then a Celtics/Cavs playoff game (very unexpected, pleasant surprise). Taps seemed clean, well-priced and I like that they did not ask if I wanted a half pint or full pint (it’s 10 o clock at night, come on, whaddo I look like, some kind of moderate drinker??). Suffice to say that this thoroughly uninteresting story/semi-review of this off-the-grid bar (I swear I’m not hallucinating this) is FAR more interesting than Cuvee des trolls, which can be best summed up by: sweet, estery, bland. The epitome of forgettable, soulless beer.
