2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Golden orange colour, a little cloudy and flat. Some fruity notes in the aroma along with some hop. Feels very thin in the mouth, lacks depth, body. Flavour is slightly musty but with some fruit coming through. Slighty vinious backnotes. Unimpressive.

Tasted this more ftimes early from bottle. Now like it more. Hazy goldblond color. Head is medium, white and fluffy. Fruity, yeasty aroma. Touche of honey and spices. Flavor is light and spicy/fruity sweet with low bitterness. Light body. Very drinkable brew.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Light is the key-word for this beer, because I can put that word in front of everything I have to say about it...Light amber, light white head, light spicy aroma. Light flavour, light sweetness, light notes of fruit/citrus and very light hoppy bitterness. Light in spite of it’s 7%. Easy to drink, uncomplicated and charming, but not a beer that is firmly rooted in your mind.

Trapped in a snowstorm, drinking the beer collction from an end is a possibility.
This beer had expired the end of date with 9 months. At the store they thought that the aroma and flavor had lost some complexity, but then the beer was cheap.
Golden beer with huge head. Aroma a little weak with notes of yeast and fruits.
Taste had hint of citrus but again weak. Quite much alcohol. This beer should be rerated some day.

3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JAN 26, 2007 Cheap metallic-malty-briny nose in the vein of a 30c tin of Greek supermarket lager. Possibly some apple close-up, as it warms. The flavour is better- vanilla-popcorn creamy with hints of citrus and orange, and a hoppily dry finish for the style. Leaning more towards smooth lagery maltiness and crisp straw ale hoppiness than Belgian spice. A little metallic, but a decent and very drinkable ale worthy of a resampling

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Lucky to find this bottle at Clichy’s Tavern in the Montemarte neighborhood of Paris. Pours a cloudy yellow, with a sparse and uneven creme head. Aroma is of Belgian yeast, apples, clove, raisins and dust. Taste is good, a little sweet though with apples and grapes. Spices almost balance it, but it falls a little short. Certainly not in the class of the Westy, De Dolle or Abbay des Rocs, but this smashes 50% of all beers I’ll ever drink. Belgians are very talented at brewing.

Bottle at Bekeerde Suster. Thoroughly enjoyed this, not least because of the Troll glass. Fast-rising head. Very sweet. Dense flavor texture. Citrusy.

Bottled. Hazy yellow colour, small white head. Aroma is bitteralmond, metal, wheat and slight cherry. Flavour is sour fruits, raisins, hops and yeast. Palate is smooth and the beer is pleasantly carbonated.
