Pale blond appearance with medium white head that settles quickly; not much lacing. Aroma of bread and black pepper. Malts dominate the palate, with some light spice and summer fruit in the background. Light body. Not a bad beer, but on the plain side.

A: The pour is a hazy light golden color with a very sturdy, creamy white head on top. S: The nose is sweet and bready with a slight spiciness to it--seems to be peppery. The hops are earthy and work well with the nose. T: The flavors are what you’d expect from the nose. The malt dominates and is bready and slightly sweet. Like a lot of Belgians, the yeast provide a lot of flavor to the beer and in this case, a subtle fruitiness. The hops are once again earthy and provide a bit of bitterness. M: The body is on the lighter side with a full carbonation and a crisp feel on the tongue. D: Not a mind blowing beer, but a nice little Belgian. Unfortunately, a little pricey, so I don’t know if I’d bother with this one again.

Leighton (10780) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 27, 2012
Bottle in the flat in Brussels. Pours mostly clear, yellow-gold, lightly effervescent with a small, creamy white cap. Aroma holds dry orange, dry dough, hay and white sugar. Medium to big sweet flavour, lots of dough and cereal malts, white sugar, alcohol, creamy straw. Full bodied with average carbonation, lightly warming to finish with lots more sugary, doughy malts, dry cereal grains. Not too much going for this guy.

okay aroma, looks real nice, cloudy yellow, large head, too sweet , too fruity, pinaablle, pear. weissbier. palate :2, a bit thin, overall okay beer but came at me from too many different angles at once.

Bottle. Poured hazy yellow color with an average to large frothy white head that was mostly lasting with excellent lacing. Light to moderate complex citrus aroma. Light to medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Light to medium sweet flavor with a light to medium sweet finish of moderate duration. This is a smooth soft beer.
