3.1 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Burnished blonde. Creamy white head deposits wispy lace on the glass. Yeasty aromas lined with perfumey phenols, cotton candy, poundcake, apricot, grass, pepper, lemon, and dusty yeast. Lightly doughy with hints of circus peanuts, as well. Prominent alcohol. Soft flowery hops are negated by a curious twang which partly yields to beefy malt and abundant lemon. Semi-crisp crackery snap takes foothold before a fairly brawny poundcake transition. Nonexsistent hop bitterness fails to deflect the banana puree and vanilla taffy slickness. Finishes cleanly attenuated with banana cream pie and an edgy note of cookie backed with floral hops. I suspect this is on its way downhill due to the tartness and dullness. But without a "bottled-on" date (!!), it’s anyone’s guess. No apparent flaws, but not something I want to drink much of.

Head is initially average sized, frothy/fizzy, white, mostly diminishing.
Body is medium yellow.
Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), lightly to moderately hoppy (flowers), lightly yeasty (cobwebs, basement), with notes of banana candy, anise, mint, perfume, pepper.
Flavor is moderately to heavily sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter.
Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter.
Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, lightly to moderately alcoholic.
Interesting nose that appears to be spiced with anise and maybe other things but it’s not strong and all kinda works nicely together for the most part. A little bit of a candy-ish demeanor but it’s not in an unpleasant way. Very Belgian as a result...i.e., spiced but not in a way that bludgeons your senses. Too sweet in the mouth for my liking, the sugar just kind of flops on your tongue and hangs around too long. Not syrupy-sticky though. Overall interesting, different, and fun, but I couldn’t drink much.

Bottle from RBC. Aroma of a tripel with lemon, orange, and apricot lagery notes. Flavor is Belgian yeast, very slight sweetness, and Meyer lemon. Not a bad little beer, but it wasn't a huge standout in my mind. Pretty good beer.

750 ml bottle, used a tulip glass. Nice unfiltered gold color. Thin white head. Nose is fruity with nose yeast profile. Melons mostly for nose.
Taste is a bit different. Yeast is there but I get a dried sugary fruit flavor. Finish is sweet with sugar a light Belgian spice. Dry finish. Nice brew, thanks goes out to Adam Jackson on sharing this one.

Stored in the cellar for a while...maybe 4 months? Enjoyed in a Delirium glass at cellar temp so around 62 degrees.
A - 1-finger yellow-ish head that subsided quick to nothing. SRM of 9. Dark slightly dark hues of gold and orange. Minor haze but overall pretty clear.
S - Very sweet. Pears and bright flowers. pollen and honeysuckle. big bright smell. Apples? It’s really gorgeous.
T - Wow. Super nice. Mild hop aroma is dominated by apples and oranges. Melons. yeah, lots of melons and a hint of vanilla. Honey brightness on the finish.
M - 40% carbonation on the mouth swish. Medium body with a crisp finish. Honestly, the mouthfeel is not reminiscent of a belgian strong ale. More like a Saison.
O - Very crisp and bright. Nice taste indeed. I liked this one a lot.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Nice golden color with thick head that turns to a sheen with nice lacing throughout. Smells instantly of big green apples then slowly goes away to some spiciness and subtle sweet malt and fermented fruit. Taste is surprisingly tart and citrus peels, but dry and has a lingering touch of malt on the back end. Nice carbonation but overall this beer is just OK.

Bottle - 750mL crowned. Hazy gold with a short, fizzy white head. Aroma is spicy and yeast with fruit notes, flowers and sweet malt. Taste is spice and yeast up front with candied fruit, sweet malt, sponge cake, flowers and soft bitter hops throughout the remnants. Body is medium with a strong, effervescent carbonation. Finishes with more yeast notes, soft bitter hops, ripe tropical fruit, cake notes, sweet malt, soft spice and floral notes.
