Pours thick cloudy orange in color with a golden hue and beautiful white head. Aroma brings a bit of a funky saison, and then the sweet and spicy Belgian yeast comes in pleasantly. The thicker blonde body brings syrupy orange and citrus notes. The flavors of the Belgian yeast, lightly sweet and smooth round out the brew nicely.

Stored in the cellar for a while...maybe 4 months? Enjoyed in a Delirium glass at cellar temp so around 62 degrees.

A - 1-finger yellow-ish head that subsided quick to nothing. SRM of 9. Dark slightly dark hues of gold and orange. Minor haze but overall pretty clear.

S - Very sweet. Pears and bright flowers. pollen and honeysuckle. big bright smell. Apples? It’s really gorgeous.

T - Wow. Super nice. Mild hop aroma is dominated by apples and oranges. Melons. yeah, lots of melons and a hint of vanilla. Honey brightness on the finish.

M - 40% carbonation on the mouth swish. Medium body with a crisp finish. Honestly, the mouthfeel is not reminiscent of a belgian strong ale. More like a Saison.

O - Very crisp and bright. Nice taste indeed. I liked this one a lot.

JDBaker11058 (1269) - Maryland, USA - APR 2, 2012
Appearance: hazy butterscotch gold, with a thick, creamy white head slowly shrinking to a cap with a ton of lace. Aroma: lots of caramelly, crackery malts, with some fruity yeast, a bit of barnyard funk, and a hint of decorative floral hand soaps. Taste: fruity and rustic, with notes of citrus (orange, lemon rind), must, crackers, wheat, apple skins, and bananas, all over a nice thick bed of aggressive yeast (clove, barnyard, white pepper). Finish: nicely sweet, with slowly diminishing tropical fruit and cracker notes. Notes: More of a golden ale or a thick saison than a strong bale. Crackery, sweet, yeasty, with a light, spritzy and somehow creamy palate. Pretty darn good. Bottle from the Rare Beer Club.

750 ml bottle, used a tulip glass. Nice unfiltered gold color. Thin white head. Nose is fruity with nose yeast profile. Melons mostly for nose.  Taste is a bit different. Yeast is there but I get a dried sugary fruit flavor. Finish is sweet with sugar a light Belgian spice. Dry finish. Nice brew, thanks goes out to Adam Jackson on sharing this one.

marcus (6497) - Sacramento, California, USA - APR 30, 2012
Bottle from Healthy Spirits. Pours cloudy blonde with a nice off-white head and a floral citrus aroma. There is a sweet caramel malt flavor with some hop bitterness and a bit of grape, perhap from the yeast.

Bottle shared by Marcus. Pours slightly hazy gold with a creamy off-white head. Musty grapey aroma. Med body. Rather grapey flavor. Dry. Very mildly spicy. Refreshing.

Bottle from Beer Mania. Hazy orange with big head. Nose of sweet, bitter fruity. Taste of fruits, high abv, bananas, orange rinds, sugar and plenty of good stuff. Really nice tripel-style blonde. Good stuff.

33cl.

750 mL bottle. Pours very cloudy muddy gold with yellowish white head. The aroma is very estery, lots of banana and bubblegum, some strawberry, sulfur, salt, yeast, and grain. The flavor is exactly what I expected from the nose. Light, sweet breadiness with lots of yeast and esters. The same banana and bubblegum dominate, with a little bit of clove and sulfur. The finish is semi-dry with some wood and yeast notes. Not bad, but lacks nuance.

750 ml bottle poured a cloudy gold with a lasting white head. Aroma of banana, pineapple, pear, straw, yeast and spice. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of straw, pear, banana, pineapple, yeast and spice with a crisp lingering fruity finish.
