MiP (11783) - Sønderborg, - DEC 19, 2008
Bottle, 8.7% as Cuvée Li Crochon Bruin. Spicy aroma, anis, caramel, hint of yeast. Clear red chestnut colour. Very small head. The flavour is quite sweet with some cookie spices, caramel, cinnamon, anis, perhaps a little ginger. Fat fruity yeast notes, in the finish. Not like baking yeast, so they are OK in this beer.

sebletitje (4394) - Enghien, BELGIUM - JUN 30, 2009
bottle in Li Crochon glass. pours hazy brown, beige head. Aroma, yeasty, caramel malts and some dark fruits as well as some residual candy sugar. Taste, roasted malts, caramel, yeasty, candy sugar, some dark fruits; figs, currants, light floral touch with a sugary profile with fruits. ABV becomes more evident as beer warms up. A rather fine example of a good Belgian Strong Ale, really liked this one a lot.

Trade with Fonefan. It is beautiful red-brown with a huge, creamy head. The aroma has a light sweetness and notes of spice, yeast, malt, dark fruits and candy sugar. The flavour has sweetness and notes of roasted malt, spice, figs, candy sugar, raisin, yeast and light citrus. The body is full and it is a nice one.
